True as this may be, the TDK fight scenes weren't particularly impressive. I think the TDK suit gives an illusion of mobility but is actually not as flexible as people suppose.

I highly enjoyed the fight scenes in TDK. The only one I thought was silly was in Hong Kong. Why that guy with the shotgun didn't just shoot Batman I will never know.

Guess it's just the way it goes in movies.

That's mainly what I'm referring to. That and the one "doctor thug" who waited and did not struggle while Batman grabbed him and prepared to punch him in the finale.

I actually felt the best fight scene though was the opening one in the Garage. That one was well done, and the party crashing scene was good too. The rest needed improvement.

I guess the rule in movies is that the ''goons'' or ''thugs'' are a little stupid and don't think to shoot... or in fact do anything.

I quite enjoyed the Prewitt Building fight (except for that goon that you mentioned).

Batman's first appearance in TDK was fantastic. I get amped up all the time when it gets to that moment. The party scene was good as well.

Judging from the fight outside the City hall, we might have another great fight to add to the list.

Id just like to add one more thing. I dont really understand how people can complain about the Bat symbol on TDK suit being small. The suit is totally black, and at night..you couldnt see the symbol anyway. Keep in mind that these are movies we're talking about. These arent comics. Having a huge Bat symbol across your chest would fly in Comic Books. But when it comes down to movies, its just silly. If a thug sees Batman chasing him, hes not going to analyse the symbol on the chest to check if its really him. The guy's pretty much in a Costume which makes him look like a Bat!..You dont need a bright yellow and black symbol on the chest for any further verification. I think those days where spandex clad supeheroes with colorful symbols on their costumes are obsolete. And i for one, am glad.

^There's nothing wrong with having a batsuit that has the bat symbol stand out. It completely works for the Burton movies. But for Nolan TDK suit works for his universe. Flashy superhero costumes are not obsolete, I can easily imagine another batman series down the line that uses it.

Harsh...and wrong.
Then prove me wrong. Prove it could not have had a better design. Prove that this is the only look they could have gone with. And we have seen better fan art than this. That I don't need to prove. "Piece of crap" is my opinion, therefore it cannot be proven wrong.

Everyone has their own opinions on things, but i cannot believe how many people have problems with TDK suit. I just dont see anything wrong with it, infact it just improves on everything. The BB suit was beastly because he looked animalistic in it. But when it came down to the fight scenes, something just dosent seem right if the guy cant move his head. So even if Batman is one of the most skilled martial artists..it looks kind of oafish when he actually fights. Tdk suit looks so much better on film. The night club scene where Batman takes out a dozen of Maroni's thugs is a true testament to that. :awesome:
So it can't be streamed down for mobility and still be made to look beastly and animalistic? Again I call bulls**t and I'm not buying it. TDK suit looks less like "Batman" than the Begins suit. That is a fact.

Better fan art? Maybe. But have those people actually created their suits, tried them out and appeared in a Batman movie? I don't think so.

Don't use this ''it's my opinion so I can't be proven wrong'' crap. That's weak.

But you still can't prove that it absolutely had to look the way it does. It doesn't. They could have used the same removable plates method without all the jagged edges and bulky bat bra. No matter what they claim the idea of the suit to be it's still a rubber suit and that shows in the legs. I like the idea of the method just not how it was executed.

I...
What is this I don't even..

Ha, the guy talking about the Bat symbol is slightly off...he forgets this material is based off a comic book.

The TDK suit needs improving. Yes, he can move his head but at the cost of the important scary imagery of Batman.

I actually like the Begins suit. Yeah, the Keaton suits are still Gold but the Begins suit had that scary creature element to it.

Compare the end scenes in both films.

In Begins, you don't see Bale in that suit. It's Batman. Then you see TDK and it just look like Bale in a costume. Especially when you think of the infamous voice. It works for a bigger heavier and more bulky suit but for the streamlined ridges, it's very off. Refer to the now parodied final scene with Joker

Yet another reason why TDK suit does not look like "Batman".

Disagree. I like that it looks like a suit of armour. A modern knight riding a bike instead of a horse.

''In my opinion'' it's perfect.

That is just not true. His face and voice are well hidden equally well in both movies.

Agreed. I think it looks like a literal "Dark Knight".

Agreed. I personally don't have a problem with Christian Bale's Batman voice.

That voice is absurd and does not adhere to Nolan's "realism". Once he damages his larynx from talking like that after a couple of nights, that will easily give away his identity.

Nice

P.S Off topic, I was wondering do you guys and/or gals think the blue and grey with yellow oval Batsuit work in live action, without looking campy?

I'm unsure on the blue and grey, leaning towards a no, but the yellow oval worked great in the Burton films.
