This would be great

It's just the TDK suit, with a better cape and cowl, and it looks great. I keep saying, all you need is a decent cape and cowl for a good Batsuit(and a noticible Bat symbol). The rest can be up to intrepretation. Just leave out the nipples.

Still like this one. The old thread has some good stuff in it.

Love it. Only suggestion is they should go with the TDK Bat-Symbol, for consistency. Looks more protective and sturdier, which makes sense for going up against Bane, who if he gets close enough could probably rip off the exposed plates on the TDK suit leaving him unprotected.

They need to change the suit design. The Bat emblem needs to be bigger. Like in BB

I always wished the black chestplate underneath the tiny bat symbol on the TDK suit should have just been the bat symbol itself.

Basically, get rid of the tiny bat, and add ears and scallops to the breast plate, and voila, you have a large, recognizable bat symbol!

I wish someone with better photoshop skills than I could do it. [hint, hint; nudge, nudge :cwink:]

I am hoping that the suit is much more sleeker looking than it was in The Dark Knight .

But he used the grapple in awesome ways. I was totally stoked in the theatre when he speared that SWAT officer's vest and used him as an anchor. More inventive grapple use, says I.

not batsuit directly related but I'd love to see more batgadgets and weapons this time (batarangs and so on...)
So far he's used the grapple, sonar, little bombs, bat sonar (calling the bats), potato musher, and... that's it i think.

I'd like to see him use his batarangs more. They re kinda flimsy so make them bigger and have him disarm enemies and stuff.
I agree; this is the superior costume. Cape doesn't look right on that suit the way it is (needs a collar, I say), but the bodysuit itself is great.
I agree that the cape doesnt look like it fits, but no collar. I'd rather they use CGI and make it one with the cowl.

I dont get how the bat emblem provides protection. Seriously.

That was great!

Im not a big fan of the grey suit. I guess im in the minority though. :(

Me too, Bond. He only used his grapple and potato masher in TDK :(
I don't know what you mean by potato masher but Batman did use quite a bit of gadgets in the film, probably just as many as in Begins. They just usually only appeared for a single scene, except for the sonar machine which was the biggest gadget he's used yet.

i hope they go back to something more organic looking. i still think the TDK suit looks bad.

Ahh yes, I forgot about the batgoggles, and also the machine that can smell the 'lightly-radiated bills'. I was getting my utensils mixed up. It's a potato masher he uses in Batman '89 when that thug jumps at him and the potato masher comes from his palm and stops the thug dead in the air--can't remember if it hit his sack or not. In TDK it was more like a gas-powered tin opener he uses on vans and cheap tins of tuna.

Wouldn't he get a new batsuit after he returns from the broken back? I've never really read comics but i read a book about batman where bane breaks batman's back and he is healed by talia or goes to train with talia and some other guy takes over as batman but in a strange suit until he returns from the injury... im guessing thats what is going to happen, hence the name the dark knight rises.. as opposed to the book knightfall

I suspect there won´t be major changes to the suit, just upgrades maybe.

Wow. I don't think you even read the Knightfall novelization very carefully... Talia al-Ghul was no where to be seen in that story.

I justwant them to go back to a more organic looking bat suit. i love the BB suit, just make it less bulky. But in reality I am guessing the next suit will be even more robotic looking seeing as nolan loves TDK so much:doh:

I like the material of the TDK suit that's underneath the armor plates. I'd be happy if they just turned the TDK suit inside out and had the body armor underneath the "titanium-dipped fiber tri-weave" material.

i read that back when i was a kid so probably i missed stuff, i know he when somewhere to train with a female martial artist to regain his strength and ability to fight after bane left him paralyzed, maybe they will use talia as that female in the movie

On the large scale action figures from Hot Toys and DC Direct where that device is one of the accessories, they call it the "Mangler".

BRUCE: whats this one?
FOX: the mangler!
BRUCE: whats it do?
FOX:....mangles.....stuff....
BRUCE: I GOTTA HAVE IT!

I need to post this pic to this new thread too so everyone can see how awesome BB suit is

Yeah but he literally looks like a statue there. That suit looks so inflexible. At least with the TDK suit its evident there are a lot of flex points.

I wish that we could have the flexibility of the TDK suit in a suit that looks as good as the BB suit. Is that too much to ask for? :(

I don't care for the gray suit, either. I always accepted that the reason it's the norm in comics is because it takes a lot more work to draw something as being black while keeping it visible, but my personal preference has always been a black suit. The gray just looks kind of dull to me, and it looks too "comic-book-ish." There's no reason for Batman to have a gray suit with black trunks over them other than because the bodysuit and trunks is the "standard" look for comic book superheroes. Batman always looks the coolest when seen in silhouette anyway, and when it's his silhouette it's all black anyway. Why ruin it by throwing a gray bodysuit in there? It's almost like frosting just the very top of a cake instead of the whole thing.
