I understand what he's doing with the fight scenes. They're just not very engaging. Thank god his stories are phenomenal. Kicks serve their purpose. Especially in crowded situations where you want to keep yourself out of arms reach. Also a kick to the knee is quicker than a punch to the knee. I understand what Nolan is going with but some variety would be nice. It's a comic book movie. Give us a money shot or two.Like I said earlier, Christopher Nolan has wanted the fight scenes in his Batman movies to simple, brutal, and realistic. In a real fight, the more impressive looking the move, the less useful it tends to be. So Batman doesn't kick thugs in the head, because punching would be faster, and therefore less likely for the target to defend against it. Sure he can move a lot, but he has no need to be doing flip kicks. I prefer that kind of fight scene to the fight scenes like those of WATCHMEN and many other films, where fighting is practically a dance.
One of the flaws of the BATMAN BEGINS Batsuit is that it didn't really look like body armor, especially not the kind it was described as in the film, and this was a major factor in its redesign in THE DARK KNIGHT, in addition to the limited mobility.
That could definitely work.
I do agree on the Batman Begins suit. Well Lucius pulled out the exoskeleton I was thinking "Holy crap! Awesome!". And then he put the Bat-stuff on it and started wearing it and it was just...hollow rubber.
