Variety Magazine's Stuart Oldham: "SOURCES: 'The Dark Knight Rises' running time is just over 2 hours."

Celebration! Cinema: 2 hours 10 minutes. Someone claimed to have gotten in contact with them and they said it was a guess.

gillberg2k1: "The cut shown to execs was closer to three hours. There. It's settled."

Event Cinemas: 2 hours 40 minutes

So, they claim its 160 mins. 7 minutes longer than TDK's 153 mins.

It's funny, I was listening to the latest Yeah, It's That Bad - Movie Review Podcast, and one of the guys brought up a recurring plot point in many of the crappy movies they end up reviewing is a masquerade ball. I got a chuckle and a chill at that line.

but is it ok for Nolan? I don't think a lot of us think it is.

The cool thing about Nolan though, even if the film is PG-13, I'm quite sure he'll do everything to push that PG-13 to it's extreme limits. He'll take the most of it, and even if we have another Gambol scene with Bane, it will still be brutal.

Hell, TDK had a lot of brutal scenes anyway, Lau burning on the pile of money, the pencil scene, where you can actually hear the eye squashing just before the guard falls down the ground, the way the Joker stabs the two guards. Yeah, it's all very quick and subtle in a way, but it's there.

He stops and says something before he goes in, methinks that it's something deliciously hilarious.

That was my complaint with TDK, it didn't have enough sardonic Bruce. I know TDK story was grim, but lots of sarcatic people I know have kept up the humor in grim times. I loved Bruce's constant dry wit in BB, like "that's Damn good television" etc.
