I could've sworn Hans Zimmer said he based the chant off of an element that's present in the film.

To me it would make sense to have the chant be a diagetic sound from within the movie as well as part of the score. This will help give the chant significance for people when they watch the movie, so whenever we hear it we connect it to Bruce's "rise" as well as Bane.

I know nothing like that has been done in these movies yet, but it would definitely help bring things to a new epi-biblical level.

I wonder what Selina's theme will sound like? I know Zimmer was working on something special for that character as well.

que que que pasa pasa que que que pasa pasa.

Bane is overconfident, which probably explains his lack of foresight into unmasking Bruce in front of Selina. In his mind, that's it, he's won, he has broken the bat, there's no coming back from that. That overconfidence probably shows why he looks so angry and shocked in the city hall fight shot, that the man he just broke has returned in full.

I said to fellow SHH member yesterday when we were at Chipotle's.

Ra's original plan was to destroy gotham and start it anew.

when Bane breaks Batman and destroys him he's doing just that to Batman. Destroying him and allowing Bruce to start anew, better and more powerful. It's Ra's ideal coming back to life.

It's certainly possible but in the context of information we have now, we don't know if that's what's Bruce is hearing.

Saying she can't comment on something is one thing. Lying blatantly is another.

I'm not sure what we're arguing here. She flat out denied being a character from the comics, which means she was lying. I don't care how you personally view it, but it's most likely the truth.

It was a half remembered lie.

Why do people have a hard time accepting that an actor might lie about something work related? Especially if that lie will perhaps serve said work in the long run?

Christopher Nolan to Marion about talking about Talia.

"You don't owe those people anymore!"

yes. and Miranda Tate isn't originally from the comics. so technically, she didn't lie.

She said her character is not based off of a character from the comics. They asked her if she was telling the true, she said "Yes, I am." Then they asked if she was lying, and she said "No!"

Technically, or not technically, she is lying if her character is not really Miranda Tate.

If Liam Neeson said the character he was playing was not based off of the comic book, and then he turned out to be Ra's al Ghul, no matter how you spin it, he would have lied.

I'm not trying to say she's definitely Tate. But there is still a possibility that she is, like John Blake, just that and not Talia.

She said she'd like to do tons of movies in the future with Nolan. Well, if she can't keep a secret, that's probably not happening with that guy. Her face cracked a simper when she said the word "comic," and that's all I needed to know. When she was on the Craig Fergusson show in 2010, she says that's great when an audience doesn't know anything about a movie before they see it. She said she likes to be surprised.

She's a part of the "surprise" about the film for about 98% of the audience that's going to see it and has no idea of the spoilers or what a Talia is.

Her character is Miranda Tate. But it's probably also Talia. So she's half lying.

Neeson couldn't say that, since Ducard is a character from the comics as well.

So what? People are going to go to her after the film and say "hey, you lied in that one interview, I'm never going to trust you ever again and I'm going to stop watching your films" no one really cares she lied to protect the film, tons of actors do that. Bottom line is...no one cares.

Well I'm arguing that there is something out there to make me doubt the whole situation a little bit. I would expect someone to not comment on his role, but not to lie about it.

The chant is non-diagetic. Hans confirmed this when he said he wrote the piece before he even read the script, meanig the chant isn't in the script, meaning Bruce isn't hearing the chant when asks that question, hes referring to something else. Not to mention that the chant is used non-diegetically in the prologue

Yeah, Gary Oldman lied plenty of times. Remember after TDK when he said the next vilainn would have been the Riddler? I know he was joking, but he sounded dead serious.

Really who cares if an actress lied to not spoil the film . If she said yes I am Talia , people would go crazy over that especially Nolan...

She had to lie there.

I think yourt all ujnderestimating Talia here . To me she is the brains , who will try to destroy Bruce emotionally and Baner is the brawn , .... They are working together , no doubt in my mind .

No, but lets say I'm not following leaked reports or any of that ****. Since this is coming from her mouth, being asked specifically, I am in my full right to believe her.

I don't believe people are asked from Nolan to lie, since everyone else is saying they cannot comment on that. I don't remember anyone else lying before, correct me if I'm wrong.

If your looking to remove some doubt, you can read my article about her character. Spoilers ahoy.

but you are missing the point, I'm asking, why should you even care? Most people are meant to walk in the film believing she is Miranda Tate, when it's revealed she is Talia, what are you going to thinking about? a) holy crap what a twist b) hey! marion lied to us in that one interview!

Why are you suppose to believer . She id an actor . She is paid to lie for aliving , and to priomote films also . Giving away spoilers is the quickest way not to get big parts in major films in the future .
