I'm not sure who Bruce should end up with at the end of the film, should he end up with someone.

Selina or Talia. I want to say Talia but it depends on what her arc is in this film.

What do you guys think?

Holy... It's like watching the Star Destroyer at the beginning of Star Wars, it never seems to end...

Nice comparison.

Being there was fun, it was all so very overwhelming, I cannot wait to see this in the film but also to feel the context and the weight of the situation.

This might be my favorite fan spot yet.

I want her to fall for bats not realizing it's Bruce

I like the idea of Bane's defeat mirroring Batman's defeat. Bane makes Batman watch everything he fought for destroyed but Batman rised back up instead of lying down in shame. When Batman defeats Bane he forces him to watch Bats save Gotham and prove him wrong, Bane cant live with this defeat so he kills himself proving that Batman was the superior one.

I don't want bane to die I want him to become paralyzed from the neck down so he goes from ultimate strength to ultimate weakness

Thankfully there is a 0.0000000000000001% chance of Kanye music being used in Rises. No offense to you SpideyFan, but it just seems out of place. Nice editing job though

While I don't like it, I always thought the biggest selling point of those who want CW to kill Bane was that it solidifies the tragedy of her "love story" with Batman. That when it's all said and done, she'll always be a gray character and she and Bats can never be together in the end because of her unpredictability. But her and Bats taking a chance in the end even if she kills Bane weakens that argument IMO. If she kills Bane when Batman is against that despite all the hell Bane put Bruce through then I just can't see Bruce being fine with that and trying to live happily ever after with her.

That just doesn't seem right to me, and seemingly goes against the character that Bane is. When Bane was defeated at the end of Knightfall, he tried to goad Jean-Paul Valley into crossing the line and ending him, but he didn't attempt to take his own life. Instead he was incarcerated, did some soul-searching and built himslef back up.

Given the upbriging Bane has in comics, you'd wouldn't be to wrong to think that most people would have considered or even attempted to end it all, yet with Bane it was the opposite and it spurred him on to better himself and get through the hell he was in. Him deciding to emphatically end himself, because someone got the better of him just doesn't seem right and in line wih the thick skin and strong mentality the character seemingly has and built up over time.Instead I would have thought he'd take the defeat, and then work to better/improve himself, come back stronger and ensure he gets the victory next time round. Just my opinion though.

The ending of 'The Graduate' with them seemingly riding off into the sunset comes to mind with this scenario. That uneasiness and doubt lingering. :oldrazz:

I am aware of that. As I posted:

Coming to an agreement instead of going separate ways ala that comic.

Isn't that exactly how Batman 1989 ended in the romance stakes...?

Bruce and Vicki know it'll never work, but they are gonna give it a go for a while and ''try to love each other''.

So nah... I think Catwoman would want all or nothing.

I'm interested in Talia's part during the end...does she reveal herself before or after Bane is shot by Catwoman? I wonder...

I think that's what will happen in this film except with it being Catwoman.

This.

It sounds like fans of that argument just want to have their cake and eat it too. They want to see CW do something Shocking/badass, then start a relationship with Bruce afterwards.

Completely agreed. I can see both ideas working, but not together.

Well said.

I also have a feeling that Bane won't meet his demise by either Batman or by way of suicide. I think Catwoman is just going to put one in his head thinking she can free up Batman and Gotham once and for all and live happily ever after with Bruce. Things won't work out that easily though due to Waynes code.

I envision Catwoman doing something akin to what Giles did to Glory/Ben in the Buffy season 5 finale. If you've seen it, you'll know what I mean by that.

You think she'll want to be with Bruce and not Batman?

I haven't seen Buffy all the way through but I would assume it's something pretty good as the writing was always good in that show.

I think by the time Bruce is incarcerated in that undisclosed chand baori style prison she already knows they're one and the same. Just speculating.

I agree, but do you think she'll ultimately want to be with the "Batman" side or the "Bruce" side? Or by that point do you think she'll just want to be with him knowing that they are technically the same person?

I've always believed that she prefers the Batman persona and could care less about Bruce, but her knowing his real identity does throw in an interesting curveball.

PS. Congrats on the Mod-Job! I just noticed now! "Movin' on upppp"

I think the latter.

Yeah I think her knowing about his identity will change things quite a bit.

Thanks man.
