So would it be totatlly crazy to think batman actually kills bane? the first person he breaks his rule for? I know it sounds crazy but your talking about a villain more calculating and deadly than any villain he has faced before maybe he has to break his rule to defeat bane.

Has anyone thought that maybe batman kills bane as an act of mercy?

Blake would be "Batman" for all the right reasons.

People are acting like it would be the worst ending ever.

Yeah because Blake is probably trained like Wayne was right? It would in fact be a crappy ending.

It just really dosent make sense to me for that to happen, IMO, especially if certain things happen in this movie, like Catwoman offing Bane.

That's a very interesting theory! But would someone like Bane ever ask for mercy? It be more honorable for him to take his own life than beg his greatest enemy to take it for him.

Oh don't get me wrong, I don't find Rocketman's ending true at all, makes Bruce seem selfish if he's still alive and leaves things in Blake's hands. I was more speaking along the lines of Bruce dying, or being unable to be Batman, by the end. In that respect I think someone taking over his work would be a plausibility, and certainly a spin on the whole never ending cycle of comic Batman (a parallel to Begins Ra's, too) without straying too far from reality.

If he does die (and i do think he will or at least fake his death) he will have left a better world, because honestly the alternative is Bruce dying having failed his mission...and that depresses me to no end, besides we all know there is a finality to this film and i don't think just ending bruce's story is going to cut it, i think they are ending Gotham's story.

I do agree with the parallels to Ra's al ghul, which is why i always thought it would be neat if Bruce did in fact fake his death (like DKR) and starts up his own LOS, using his fathers wealth, and Ra's idea (seeing as they are both Bruce and Batman's respective fathers) to train an army of Batmen to save the rest of the world, like he did with gotham. Of couse where Ra's failed in his mission, Bruce keeps the strict no killing code.

This is probably my perfect wish ending, but i realise it will probably be bruce dying and the city makes him to be the hero that harvey dent couldn't be, or bruce just retires and lives his life in a peaceful gotham.

Maybe part of the reason he hangs it up in the end is because he realizes he can't do the job without killing & unnecessary deaths

This too, but he's probably smart enough to avoid any kind of arrest (he'd probably beat those officers to death anyway).

Definitely... Mattel just toss anything together with very little thought.

I doubt even Bane has a big swing-able mace.
