I've been meaning to ask efver since new TDKR photos for Batman came out. That cylinder/canister on his belt is a new addition, I wonder what's in it.

Shark Repellent, obviously.

Why, yes...I did join just to make that joke.

Controversial in what way?

Certain characters dying like Batman or Alfred I suppose. We don't expect you to specify those details of course, just say that the movie may be controversial to fans.

Ah, I see. I'm sure there are several surprises in store.

Well since TheShape fav villain is the joker...I guess its safe to assume tomm he will be biased against Bane & Catwoman even though I think clearly they will be better villains in this trilogy for their own reasons IMO

I hope you enjoy the movie tomorrow theShape :) .. I'm kinda nervous what the reactions is going to be, I hope its positive.

That's a pretty crazy assumption. If anyone's biased to villains, it you... Bane_Fanboy...

To be honest, from all that we've seen so far, I think it'd be pretty tough for Nolan and company to disappoint me at this time. They'd have to try real hard to suck.

I'm betting against Alfred dying. Rachel died last movie, not to mention Gordan almost dying. Alfred doesn't need to die. There's no character/story development that would benefit from him dying. Bruce is angry enough. His closest family/friends don't need to die to prove that point. If anyone dies, my guess would be the "rise" guy from the prison.

Wow, yeah, that's actually a really good guess. Bruce will form a strong bond with this man, only to see him murdered in front of his eyes while he's helpless to stop it (like his parents).

Woah wait, there's three screenings tomorrow, yeah we will definitely get some tweets.

There are actually probably closer to 50 screenings tomorrow. There are screenings in each major city in the U.S. tomorrow for exhibitors. I will be going to the one in Dallas.

The film companies generally send out an invite about a month prior to the release of a new film for exhibitors to screen it at a location near them. They choose the locations that you are able to go to and you contact your rep at the film company to hold your place. The timing always depends on the movie, but it is usually held 2-3 weeks prior to the release. Closer to 2 for the larger films.

theShape,

You probably don't need to get there 2 and 1/2 hours early. They are usually held in HUGE theaters that hold more than 500-600 people and I've never been to a screening with more than 150 people. They do this so that you can have a good movie experience and basically choose your ideal seat. If you get there early, wait in the parking lot, because there likely will not be anyone there to let you in. Now, that may not be true for New York, but I've been to several in the Dallas area. I generally get there 30 minutes early and I am the only person in the theater.

Hope you enjoy it! I'll post my thoughts as well if anyone is interested!

In the words of bruce..."Ouch" :oldrazz::woot:

Great Comeback bro. Nice.

Anyways in all honesty Im not biased even though Bane is my fav batman villain. In the nolan series so far Joker is tied with ras al ghul as being my fav...joker was great as expected and storyline as great as can be written. BUT I loved ras al ghul storyline a little bit better because it was more interesting to me with his background and the whole league of shadows. I cant wait to explore more of the al ghuls and league of shadows in TDKR and happy we are getting away from the joker. Catwoman I know is going to be the best written villain of the series and could most likely become in a tug of war with joker as fan fav of the trilogy (similar as jack nicholson vs michelle pfeiffer). and that leaves me with Bane I cannot wait to see him get the respect he deserves. He will be the greatest threat to gotham, citizens, bruce, and batman in this trilogy. Bane will be the ultimate villain in this trilogy because everyone will want him stopped and the audience will fear him because of how evil he is. whereas the joker was loved as a villain because of his humor and twisted mind.

anyways I hope you have a great time tomm. I cant wait to hear your feedback. I just know chris nolan has knocked it out of the park again. enjoy dude :yay:

Are you seeing it in IMAX?

So far the two main villains are your two favorite villains? :oldrazz:
