New posters are pretty neat, especially Batman with the bat symbol in the sky, but yeah, Matt's posters are how all of these posters should look. The very first poster we got, with the bat symbol and the crumbling buildings is probably the best one WB put out. The Catwoman spiked heel was actually another good one also.

I agree with the consensus. The concept is great, the execution is weak.

The only poster I love with TDKR is the original teaser poster (the bat formed from the top of the crumbling buildings).

So that is the LAST poster of The Dark Knight Trilogy, no more Nolan posters, we're done.... and the last poster sucks! :waa: Thanks WB!

The thing I really can't understand is why are the renders used in these posters so disgustingly low-res? When you blow that stuff up in theaters they're gonna look very noticably pixelated.

The worst was definitely the one with Batman in front of the crumbling buildings. That was just awful.

Is this poster even the highest-res compared to the previous ones? I doubt it - maybe it's better to wait until it comes on the official website, if it even does.

Am I the only one here that loves the banners?

New poster is far better than the last one, but not great. I'd be happy if they gave out a 27x40 version of this one for the marathon go-ers though.

You can't really say that yet unless you've seen the full hq one.
This is just copied from Facebook? And FB always ****s up the image q even more.

The first teaser poster was indeed quite nice. But since then, it's like professional artists in advertising have gone on strike or something.

Except for the Catwoman poster.

That was cool, but perhaps the extent of their abilities for that closeup. You look at these last two posters, and then the banners...the Catwoman on Batpod, Bane standing on Tumbler, and the one with the cape and what looks like a severed head from a Batman doll......there are just some ridiculous miscues which you just wouldn't expect from (alleged) paid professionals.

Yes, very lazy for the most part. You would think WB would care more about doing a good job on it since they actually own the character.

There is no way this film will have a higher rating than TDK. The length, ending are all factors that some critics may automatically not like. Plus, it has to live up to the greatness of TDK. If the film is about the same, some critics may not score it as well. Most are expecting this to be even better.

wow now we know where you stand :whatever::doh:

I don't know if i can recall a recent big budget film with a great poster. I guess Inception had some decent ones, but even then the banners were better.
