the overuse of the word 'chaos' 'fear' 'rise'

come the **** on. most of the time when we hear this in full context we love it. Alfred saying a man rises from the darkness kicks ass IMO.

picky picky picky :ninja:
You love it (which is fine btw) I shake my head most of the times I hear it but that was the worst line ive heard from alfred yet. Maybe (hopefully) Itll be better in full context

Nothing wrong with that Alfred line.

The hand to hand combat scenes in the Nolan Batfilms have always been iffy.

I can't point out one that has ever been better than just good.

The best were in Batman Begins.

Let's hope that changes with TDKR.

I think the worst fights have been the dock with the shaky camera work and the fight in Wayne's penthouse that looked just too fake. Outside of those two, I think the fights have been pretty incredible.

If he's been out of the game for 8 years......how is he so beat up and walking on a cane???

Having a crutch actually be his "crutch" on why's not not Batman anymore. Sort of like a mental thing where he thinks he can't do it anymore to be his reasoning of retiring and not just because of Batman being a fugitive now.

Alfred's line was awesome. The delivery was incredible and the resonance of the line itself is great.

So Alfie says "rise", then the dude down there says "rise".

conspiracy! shocking twist - alfred is ras al ghul!

Finally watched the behind the scenes video. I'm somewhat numb, just hearing Nolan and the crew talk about how big this is. And TDK was huge. Chris is just a true film maker in every sense of the word. I love action, but with his bat-films there is a heart and reason to the action. Not only does his films make you think, but they make you give a damn.

We are in for something special guys. Something real special.

I remember someone wondering if Bruce was talking to Bane or the "rise" guy when he said "I'm not afraid, I'm angry". It would be so funny if he said it to Bane and then started doing crunches in front of him.

Wow..just WOW! Seems like this movie is gonna blow everyone away. While watching the featurette, i just had a thought. It seems to me that i might be onto something..

When Bruce is in the Prison and he delivers that "Im not Afraid, Im Angry" line, before doing the situps, its gotta be after the part where we've seen im yell out "NOOOO" in Agony. It was pretty obvious that hes forced to watch someone very close to him, die before his very eyes. At first i thought it was Tom Conti's character. But now, things have changed quite drastically after seeing all the new footage. When Bruce yells no, hes quite dirty and scruffy. And when hes doing the situps in his cell, he looks pretty good, like hes getting back into shape.

My theory as to why its not Conti's character that dies infront of Bruce has alot to do with the emotional magnitude of that particular scene. The only person we've seen Bruce talk to in the prison is Conti's character. And it seems like thats who hes talking to yet again while doing the situps. When his parents were gunned down infront of him, Bruce was afraid, but he channeled that fear into anger. And he actually says it this time.

Im not going to take any names, but the person closest to him in the world is going to be excecuted infront of him as hes forced to watch. :wow:

I think Alfred is going to die :( especially when you see Bruce working with Lucius after his prison-pit period. Seems very likely at the moment.

Lucius is going to be even more important this time around.

Meh, I'll be disappointed if he does that. That's just a cheap death imo. Alfred, who I'm assuming you're referring to lol, doesn't need to die to fuel Bruce. Rachel already died last movie which was a pretty huge loss to Bruce. I'd be disappointed if Alfred dies just because it's unnecessary for the story.

I don't think Alfred is down there. Aren't they imprisoning Gotham's wealthiest down there? It'd be strange to waste cell space by adding the help and the butler. (that's just my guess)

Lucius did that TDK also when they were handling the sonar thing.

I wouldn't be quick to jump to conclusions Capedcrusader.

Eh, the Brazilian critic didn't name TDKR the best of the trilogy simply because it reminded her of Begins and an Inception sequel. :hehe:

She still loved it though. To her, it's a stellar film (or piece of art).

She also 'leaked' a spoiler. Dont know if it was a joke but I'm not taking any more chances in reading more of her tweets.

In that video I posted from the ceremony earlier, you can see Emma and Nolan's kids. Too cute! :hrt:

You could be right. That scene where Bruce's face is clearly mortified leads me to believe its alfred. He wouldnt haveto be in a cell, theres lots of different ways it could happen. Maybe right in the beginning when Bane brings Bruce down there, just to break his will completely. And if Bane is indeed linked to the LOS, it would be payback. The story comes full circle in this one.

Is it just me or is the video not working?
