Tin Tin is expected to be one of the highest grossing films of the year (maybe even second to HP) - the fact that it's animated means nothing when it's with mo-cap THIS advanced... I mean come on, this is WETA.

it will 100% be in december. Sherlock is december 16. M:I is 1 week after that. both movies will be huge. plus its december . its a good month to start promoting summer movies.

maybe the trailer will premiere with a WB movie. but after that it will be 100% showed with M:I. its an imax movie.

*looks at SHH front page*

How the **** is it people are saying the TDKR trailer showed more than the Avengers trailer? It's simply not true. Both were good, but TDK used tons of stock footage.

I'm looking at the front page and don't see this at all? All I see is a poll asking to rate the Avengers trailer and the usual articles. I agree though, I'd pretty much say the sneak peak at the end of Cap showed more than the TDKR teaser, let alone the latest trailer.

Just out of interest, i work in a theatre, is the Avengers trailer attached to any movies? (i dont really talk to the projectionists)

Agreed but that's because Avengers probably has no story to spoil...

I'm guessing you people aren't familiar with Joss Whedon's work? He made an episode of Buffy called "Restless" that is everything Inception wished it could be and then some

I love TDKR but I don't think I can stomach buying a ticket for Twilight just to see the trailer so for the love of all that is holy I surely hope that the teaser is not attached to that. The things I do for TDKR. Sigh... :oldrazz:

RE: Avengers - The trailer looks like fun. I'll be watching it for The Downey and Chris Hemsworth. And I have a soft spot for Whedon so yeah...

Inception's just modest. It doesn't really want to be 2 hours shorter and awful.

Actually it was quite awful. :csad: I know a lot of people think it has something to say when in fact it was just another action packed "Michael Bay-esque" thriller. I fully "get it" as well, it's nothing more than a summer popcorn flick. If you think The Avengers will be anything less I pity your taste in film.

Er.. no.

I enjoyed Buffy intermittently but this is the kind of hyperbole that gives Whedon's cult of fan(atics)s a bad rep. And I say that as someone who doesn't think Inception was flawless. Far from it.

Tintin is not owned by WB.

It was flawful. And I mean this when I say it was "Matrix-lite". Great concept it was, terrible execution.

I'd be offended if you didn't like Buffy. :o

I think 'pitying' other people's tastes and proclaiming Whedon's half hour of an episode is much better an a whole cinematic feature is kinda why Joss Whedon fans turn me off of his work. And I say that as an Inception and Buffy fan as well.

I love Buffy. What I'm saying is if anyone thinks so highly of Chris Nolan and not Joss Whedon there's a problem, especially if anyone thinks The Avengers will be any more of a mindless popcorn flick than Inception.

I don't buy the Matrix comparisons, as hard as they're pushed. They're motivated by different genres: one's a heist movie and one's an action movie.

I'd happily agree the Matrix is the better film though.

What I'm saying is Whedon was better able to establish a dream-like world with dream-like scenarios, better characterization, dialogue and suspense in a half hour than the two hour plus mess that was Inception.

So I can't take seriously anyone here who is anticipating The Dark Knight Rises yet will pass The Avengers off as mindless hollywood action.

Hey, I'm seeing Avengers for the same reason I saw Inception: for the hot guys. [/typical horny woman]

The same goes for a Whedon nuthugger.

Joss is a great writer but for the love god, he's only directed one f**king film, and it was C+/B- at best. So please save that Buffy and Inception bull for someone who can't interpret your undertone.

The Avengers teaser showed nothing but generic Bay-esque material, and a few of your fellow comrades don't give two ****s if the film presents minimal substance... so what does that indicate to you?

I love whedon and nolan both,

but having those characters for 4 seasons before that episode tends to help with that:whatever:
