could the opening be the fall out from TDK
Rhames is in it.
t:i think it would be good for the story if TDKR is months after TDK. Bruce Wayne can move on from Rachel. if TDKR is after TDK then it would be strange if starts a relationship with Catwoman.could the opening be the fall out from TDK
It's all the more awesome because the police know who they're dealing with. The jawdropping police presence gives a lot of respect to Batman. The sheer number of police cars chasing Batman was mind blowing.
And I declare Seen as having the best avvy on the bat boards. Brilliant idea man.![]()
I really hope the prologue features Batman being chased by the cops, or at least is Batman-centric.
As much as I love The Dark Knight, I think it was more of an ensemble piece, whereas Batman Begins was very much told from the perspective and point-of-view of Bruce Wayne/Batman. In Batman Begins, you know what Bruce Wayne is thinking almost during the entire movie, but The Dark Knight? Not so much. On top of that, almost the entire duration of Batman Begins is told from Bruce Wayne's perspective. Even during the Rachel/Crane/DA scene Bruce is there spying on Rachel. He's very much the emotional, psychological center of that movie, and I hope the same happens with The Dark Knight Rises.
I would even be content with a format similar to Inception. In that movie Cobb was very much the emotional epicenter of that movie. He was surrounded by an incredible ensemble cast, but Cobb's journey was the emotional through-line of that movie. I hope something similar happens with The Dark Knight Rises.
In any event, if I had to choose, I'd much rather see a prologue that focused on Batman rather than one focused on Bane or any other character, but that's just me.

I can actually imagine that!Absolutely.
I wonder if the big ending to the 6 mins will be the Bat-Prawn flying towards the screen?

I can actually imagine that!
Then cut to "THE DARK KNIGHT RISES" with Batman's theme in background.

Damn it - I really need to see that film one day.
Considering Bane isn't as well-known as the Joker and that they seemingly keep CW under wraps (a la Dent/2 Face in TDK), I'm pretty confident we'll get a Batman-centric preview.
The argument can be made that because Bane is relatively unknown to the general audience, the film's marketing will be intensely focused on Bane.
You haven't seen Mask of the Phantasm? Rectify this post haste. It's brilliant.
I haven't been in this section for a while,I read a few pages back that there's footage of cops chasing Batman!?..Is there a link?
Given on how this is Nolan's last film in the series; I'm confident that he won't disappoint when it comes to Bruce's presence and exposure on the film since this is all about concluding the journey that Bruce first started in BB.
And just from everything we know; Bruce is going to have to rise up as Batman through thick and thin in order to save Gotham and be accepted as its true hero.
Absolutely.

Why? That would serve the purpose of promoting Bane, not the film itself.
The TDK prologue didn't promote the film as a whole either. Point?
Because these "prologues" usually center around an introduction to a character in the film, and it's much more likely that the introduction scene for Bane to the audience will not feature Batman and vice versa. That's just how the formula seems to work. Why can't it be both bane and batman? I don't understand why it HAS to be one or the other.
