It's almost as if Ras al Ghul and gang needed a successor to the throne so badly (and with Bruce opting out of the league), that they created one, frankenstein style, that could match up to Bruce's ability.

lol not sure about that. i mean what did they do? Ra's died at bruces hands then they decided to take bane and turn him into a freak and Ra's successor? Highly highly unlikely. THe timeline just makes no sense.

Just a guess on my part. Or maybe Talia is responsible for Bane. Just a guess on my part. From all the leaked info on Bane being part of the LOS, just trying to fit the pieces together. But then again, trying to guess Nolan is like trying to predict the weather in Texas. t:

Maybe the suit has been updated. I definitely don't think it looks as ridiculous as some of the shots in TDK.

Hmm, can't tell definitively one way or the other, but from some angles it looks like they might have softened the corners of the nose--which would be great, because the weird nostrils were my least favorite part of the TDK cowl.

in TDK we saw it at night under strong small lights. here it is outside at daytime with the sky lighting the suit and all reflections.

this is what makes a big difference. there are no sharp shadows that make all the parts stand out.

I completely agree with Trav. Except usually it's the cowl that really takes me out of it, in the case of most of the unofficial shots i've seen from TDKR, the cowl hasn't bugged me.

That's because it is the exact same suit. It looks as good as it always did.

Perhaps Bale is just filling out the suit more.

But whatever the case is, it's looking like a guarantee that there won't be any "pencil neck" angles happening in TDKR.

If anything Bale is skinnier than he was in TDK. I don't think he really worked out for this one as he was shooting something else.

I've always thought the TDK was awful. However, in the light and snow the texture looks neat, it somehow makes the suit look more proportioned. But still, his head is too big and the suit itself is too busy and partitioned. Aesthetically the BB suit is better because it appears more sleek and scary, regardless of it's complete immobility and teh puffy.

Bale is bigger now than he was in TDK. Not BB big but still bigger than TDK.

He looks skinny as Bruce and in candid shots. In TDK he looked thin but you could still see his musculature in the basement scene. I really don't think he is bigger than he was in TDK. But I also doubt they've re-fitted the suit.
