I can't recall where but did I hear correctly that we will see Batman at the begining of the film and then he doesn't appear as Batman again until the last 40 minutes of the film?

I haven't heard anything about that, but I hope it's not true. If the movie is roughly two and a half hours long like the past two, I don't want Batman to be given the shaft like that.

I dont think so. That just doesn't make sense. We know that there is a scene with the cops chasing him. We know there is at least an early fight scene between him and Bane. Its obvious that there will be at least 2 different scenes with The Bat. I'm assuming a few scenes with him and Catwoman and then the final big scene. So no, I think he'll appear throughout the movie as Batman

Yeah... Even if Batman has to be absent at some point, I'm sure they'll edit the storyline properly so Batman's appearance are spaced out better throughout the movie. Maybe that's where non-linear storytelling will come in.

Could have been speculation based on the teaser trailer:

"Now...this evil rises..."
"The Batman...has to come back..."
"What if he doesn't exist anymore?"
"He must...he must..."

Batman will definitely be out of the picture for a little while.

I'm still stumped as to what happened that made him start walking on a cane? Makes me wonder if that part in the trailer lead to anything severe. Bats look pretty rattled when Bane approached.

My guess is that he's already worn out to death from dealing with something else (GCPD?) only to realize that he still has to deal with this huge opponent who's obviously just getting started. And then there's also that mysterious person at Batman's back who might be a factor as well.

What mysterious person?

That figure at the back of Batman at the teaser trailer that we can't figure out yet who it is or if it's even relevant.

That mysterious person is just one of Bane's thug, imo. Not very important to the story.

I feel the same way. If this is going to be the final batman film I want to see batman.

I think (/hope) they will space it out or use non-linear storytelling so we won't get a significant amount of time in the movie where Batman is literally MIA.

When you look at all of the films, Batman doesn't really have much screen time anyway. So they'd be able to have about the same, if not a little more Batman action compared to TDK even if Batman is on the sidelines at some stage.

Yeah, BB obviously had way more 'Bruce Wayne' screen time than TDK but 'Batman' had about the same screen time in BB and TDK.

nah, I think he's just JGL's character in the beginning, when (if) he's still hunting down batman. looks more like swat armor than bane. (greys and blacks vs tans and browns)

nope. batman was in way more scenes in costume in tdk

It's no one important. And don't call me Shirley.

"I've seen this man face fear itself, take on the embodiment of madness. Whatever monster could do this to him I fear we have dark time ahead of us."

"He didn't unleash an army he could control. He disorganized us to keep us busy."

"In the time you've been away Gotham's wounds have surpassed your own."

"The thrill is addicting isn't it. Although without you here it wasn't fun. Things became... different. I became different."

"I'm here to make sure you don't lose yourself. What you stand for what you are suppose to accomplish."

"Well word is he controls everything now. He's made the city his prison."

"Madness is fascinating thats why I came here. To see if we can control madness."

"I've taken everything from him. His city, his weapons and his destiny. My replacement I replace."

So, what does everyone think of these now?

They seem plausible to me...

I'm inclined to agree. However, that person what was behind Bane in the hood caught my curiosity; I know Bale and Hathaway wore them on set, but I'm not familiar with that particular gentleman from the photos last Saturday, I believe it was.

That was obviously Deadshot, maybe not : (

This isn't the first time I've heard all of this Deadshot debate; when did that come up? I highly doubt he's going to be in the film, as cool as it somewhat sounds.

The dialogue itself still seems quite cheesy to me, but honestly? The context of the lines themselves like Bane making the city his prison, stealing Batman's "weapons" (Tumblers), Batman being "away", Bane unleashing armies... could any of that have been guessed at the time this was posted? How long ago did these quotes originate again?

I remember they were fitting with recent set pics. I'm not saying they're made up. I'm saying we had enough information for them to be made up.
