I have a hard time picturing a traumatized eight-year-old Bruce picking up scattered pearls. That's such a depressing image I don't even want to imagine it.

I don't. I can definitely see it. Very powerful image. Powerful, but depressing indeed. I kinda now wish they showed that in Begins. Great symbolism to it - Bruce trying to put back together something that can't be fixed.

Maybe not the same one, but the exact style.

It could just be a note to BB, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's something that Bane/LOS/Talia cooked up to **** with Bruce's head.

Lol...True. Still you have to feel for the city inhabitants and that city's budget. When they crunch the numbers on the amount of destruction that city takes every few years, you have to wonder.

Don't know if this has been discussed -- these threads move so quickly.

What do you think the building is with all the stairways? At the beginning, Bruce is walking through it. Then all the guys descend from ropes inside, looking like an ambush or a robbery or something. Is it a prison in some foreign country? It's gotta be important to Bruce's story if he's there..

We know there are flashbacks because Young Ra's was cast -- could Bruce be in those flashbacks as well, and this is something he did back with the LoS? Perhaps Bane is among the masked soldiers, so he knows Bruce from back then?

Seriously, my apologies if I'm beating a dead horse. It's impossible to keep track of what the actual discussion is without following hour-by-hour...
