I had to try this...
I made a little edit.
nolan-pacino-tea-o.gif
Where is that gif from?

Just read it.

Nah, I don't buy it. Doesn't seem all too interesting to me. Seems like fan fic.

The IMDB. fight scene description has some good stuff in there, but I'm still not taking it as 100% truth.

To be fair, a lot of Nolan stuff seems like fanfic... take the "when Gotham is ashes" line or the "and now this evil... rises." one.

Eh, just seems pieced together from stuff we already know. If it was posted prior to the trailer, then I might believe it.

That might be the Goyer sauce talkin'.

Chris wants the audience to catch up and participate rather than push everything at them. He doesn’t dumb things down. You’ve got to pedal faster to keep up.

WB- Sir, there are a ton of focus groups we need to organize before releasing this movie.

Nolan- WB. Sometimes you have to run before you can walk.

Minor update on the official website. Trailer 2 is now in the Menu section and it now has the release date on the homepage.

You know, a nicer update would be a plot synopsis after all this time. :woot:

Even though we're at a raw stage of marketing, with only two posters out - I'd like to see these on the official site in wallpaper form.

Yep. Goyer's the Anti-Stoppard the Book warned us of.

I do not know if anyone posted this, but I stumbled across it earlier.

Hmm.

Again...what you're hearing now isn't necessarily a direct indication as to how it'll be ADR'd and mixed. Do you really think a filmmaker as accomplished as Nolan at this point would allow something to be indecipherable?
I don't think being an accomplished filmmaker has anything to do with making good/bad artistic choices. For better or worse, Batman is a walking punchline in large part thanks to him.

It's down for me too.

I wonder if they're launching the full site tonight, with some new still photos? I can dream, can't I?

A much appreciated and Billion$+ punchline, yes. And Batman may sound humorously gravely (of which I agree), but you can still understand what he's saying. And that's what people are worrying about with Bane...whether it's technically clear enough, not if he should be speaking in another fashion. To put it simply, this issue with the sound is too plainly obvious and technical to be an oversight...especially for a filmmaker of his accomplishment. ADR and sound mix probably haven't even started, so much of this scrutiny is likely a bit premature.

The mask probably made it hard to both pick up and perform dialogue clearly because it was muffly and restrictive...so when the edit is done and locked, the ADR will aid in a lot of that. Until then...unless they do temp/scratch ADR's, they'll have to do as best htey can with on-set dialogue which they planned to replace for final anyway.

It might not be as bad as using David Prowse's on-set dialogue for Vader in early teasers, but it's along similar lines. :O
