What the hell is going on

I'm convinced there is no film. They filmed random scenes to serve as a 300 million dollar toy commercial. What else explains the lack of promotion?

The movie is more than 4 months out and there has been a teaser and a trailer and a tons of magazine covers devoted to it.

If you want to talk about no promotion look to Dark Shadows, which I believe is also from WB. Just over 2 months out and not so much as a teaser.

Nolan shouldn't direct anymore Batman films post-TDKR. I mean, he's already thrown a lot of other villains under the bus as "watered down versions of the Joker." I'm looking forward to TDKR but also want a new vision...and new, non-Batman stuff from Nolan.

Wasn't that "new" pic first seen at that licensing expo where Blurple started like MONTHS ago

Interesting thought. If he does hope he puts nipples on Batman's suit. I really want to see Batman's nipples through his suit.

me too i wanna see some great butt and codpiece shots too...they could introduce robin or batgirl!

what are you talking about? how are scarecrow and Ras watered down Jokers? you think Joker would work for someone else to create a chemical? or that he would train future heirs? and lets not even talk about Two-face who is lost and confused and angry... nothing like the joker... i'm not even gonna bother going into each of their motivation or ideals..good lord... sheer stupidty this post is.

Some of what I want to see in the reboot for Batman:

More stealth from Batman, less brawling fights--better fight sequences, more detective work, also awesome escape sequences, less of an anti-terrorism focus--more anti-crime, etc.

Christopher Nolan said that! Not me! He said that most of the other villains are watered down versions of the Joker!

Christopher Nolan said:
We didn't want to do any kind of watered down version of the Joker, which a lot of those characters are, and we really found something in him.

He also said the same in the interview with Empire magazine.

Moe,

Nolan has said that a lot of Batman's villains are "watered down versions of The Joker." That's straight from his mouth.

i misunderstood what he said. i thought he meant that the villians in the nolan films have all been watered down versions of the joker... not that other villians nolan hasn't used are.

Lol, Nolan made a lot of Batman fans poop in their angry undies when he said that. I remember all the Riddler fans were crying, lol.

Joker is the ultimate villian... just about every villian is compared to him... i don't agree with nolan but i can see where he is coming from... Joker casts a large shadow and riddler is one of a few that it falls on.

Ra's is the ultimate villain in the end, imo.

Joker > Two Face > Ra's > Catwoman > Penguin > Riddler

Indeed, I remember speaking with others on here about how Riddler couldn't be done in the Nolanverse now after seeing their approach to the Joker as it would be too similar, I was called insane, and then that article came out very shortly after. Heh.

And I took his quote as, after Ra's, Scarecrow, Two-Face, Joker and Bane (his franchise villains) most of the rogues gallery are too similar to the Joker to be unique and fresh, as well as being able raise the threat level. I couldn't be happier with their villain selection.

his vision is grander and his scale is larger... but he has certain qualities that can be admired... joker is just plain demonic.
