So, has anyone heard about this new Bat-Man movie coming out in July? I guess he's mostly called The Bat-Man, or something. That kid from Newsies is playing him.![]()
But seriously, here's a thought for the morning, as I drink my coffee. It is currently 7:36AM here, and this popped into my head as I was brushing my teeth (which, by the way, I bought a new toothbrush that was labeled "Firm" - I usually buy "Soft" or "Medium" but took a chance with "Firm"; don't ever buy "Firm". It's like a sand blaster that makes you bleed all over the place and makes your coffee extra brown and coppery.)
Robert Downey Jr. essentially plays a version of Batman in two different roles:
1. Sherlock Holmes - World's Greatest Detective, master of the martial arts.
2. Iron Man - Billionaire Playboy Philanthropist who uses his money to fight crime.
And thank you.
1) Sherlock Holmes inspired Batman detective side
2) Iron Man is the Marvel equivalent of Batman

Yeah but can you think of anyone who can be considered his equivalent Iron Man and maaaaaybe Moon Knight.
To be totally honest, while DC heroes and Marvel heroes have similarities, none really qualify as equivalents.
The only DC and Marvel characters that can consider themselves equivalents are Darkseid and Thanos.

Marvel's equivalent of Batman is like:
Wolverine
Punisher
Daredevil
Iron Man
Moon Knight
Literally, take the right ingredients here and there from each character, and you have precisely Batman.
While Superman is like:
Thor (an "alien" from another world who is a god)
Captain America
Sentry
Basically, what Marvel does with 8 characters, DC does with 2.![]()
Namor..Aquaman?

Namor is a badass and no one likes Aquaman.
Like really, if you were cosplaying with friends and you had to be Namor or Aquaman, would you really pick Aquaman?
* WB also might have something interesting during the 14th of March.
* The 15th of March presentation is going to last for an hour and a half.
