IMO

with the huge amount of geek movies this summer, and quality ones at that, i would be VERY surprised if we don't get another trailer in April.

also, they don't need to have him to be done with 3/4s of the movie to make a trailer. If he is done with sequences, and rest assured this is 100% fact, editors start to piece together sequences on these big budget films before Nolan sits in the room and starts finessing.

Making another trailer is no problem for them.

Don't get my hopes up......you're getting my hopes up:cmad:

Well the first wave of Movie Masters figures are supposed to hit stores in April. Once I start seeing merchandising around I consider the marketing to be in full swing, so hopefully around that time we'll be getting some new material (if not sooner).

Hey anyone, regarding that promo pic of Batman yesterday, is that a photoshoot or an artist's rendition? I'm pretty sure it's not a toy.

It's depressing to compare this time to march 2008; which was bustling with fanboy activity.

Meh, I say stop reliving the past because it's never the same experience. I've never really expected things to go exactly the same with TDKR. Things change and plus you don't have a viral marketing team like 42 Entertainment.

Not really we got very little in January, February and March. Most of it was discussion if they had finished all of Heath's ADR and if any reshoots were needed I think some are looking at it with rose color glasses there was as much complaint for news and pictures then as there is now

Has anyone photoshopped that new Batman picture into the picture of Henry Cavill as Superman since they're doing the same pose?

Is that a real picture of Bale as Batman or is it just an artist's rendition?

Artist rendition used for certain marketing and tie-in/promo materials. Based off actual photos. Usually taken in a studio.

So Basically, Bats and Supes would be enough to take on the Avengers and all marvel super heroes. Seems fair enough.

This is why I prefer Marvel superheroes, on balance, over DC ones. Marvel superheroes aren't as powerful as DC- this makes their stories more immersive, realistic, and tense. Mostly, my problem with JLA or World's Finest is Superman, and to a degree The Green Lantern. I simply don't find their stories interesting.

I love the Nolan films. They are easily my favorite superhero films, because they transcend "superhero movie" into "drama/crime film." But Spider-Man will always be my favorite superhero. He is far more relatable and more vulnerable than Batman is, not to mention one of the coolest rogues galleries (though The Joker is easily the greatest single villain).

I think the ability to relate to Spider-Man is one reason I like Batman: Year One, and Aronofsky's planned film. It brought one of the grittiest superheroes, and brought him down to a more human and relatable level. Some aspects of the script were to extreme, but I would like to see a project like Aronofsky's brought to life some day.

Gill, you have any idea when the promotion will start heating up again?
