I'd love to see Alfred go out in style trying to hold off Bane or one of Bane's thugs. His stories led me to believe that he has had some combat experience. His confession in the trailer that he's failed to live up to what he promised Thomas and Martha Wayne could set that up quite nicely.

Alfred Brown....

Wow, I can't believe people are saying they want JGL to have a small role. He's a great actor, and I'm looking forward to his John Blake. I think in this movie, John Blake will sort of represent the audience. Like how in Inception, Ariadne was the audience basically. As she learned stuff, so did we. You know how movies will have that character. The one who is learning everything as we the audience learn everything. The new guy. The one that doesn't quite fit in.

Modine's character's badge says "City of Gotham Police Department" on it in the trailer and Cullen's character tells him more about Gordon and peacetime as well. Ariadne moment! Same thing with the CIA Agent in the prologue. Ariadne moment--but then he's dead. :oldrazz:

I saw a Caine interview ages ago, he says Nolan let him make up his own background for Alfred, and he chose that of a retired war veteran.

Someone has been fooling around with the ''Untitled Batman Reboot'' credits. Right? Am I late?

To be fair, the only one that seems out of the ordinary is Wally Pfister.

I thought Nolan was going to give Batman a rest. He could be consultant, but a writer..?

Neither Goyer nor Nolan have officially signed on for any type of writing or treatments as far I know either.

That's what I'm hoping for.

I want to see more Batman too, but I want Bruce to be the hero.

It warms my heart to see people hyped about Batman on a Batman board. Seems like it barely happens these days, lol...

Unless its about him croaking, of course.

Or it's about him retiring. :down

I'll never understand why anyone wants to see that. Especially after TDK's message of him always needing to be Batman.

That's how Batman should be. He's an outlet for Bruce's emotional demons.

I'd rather him die than retire.

That's how much I hate the idea of him calling it quits.

Totally agree.

I thought it was confirmed that Nolan/Thomas were signed on as producers for the reboot?

Except rage and guilt don't last forever. Eventually, the well dries up.

As someone pointed out in these boards as well, Batman is NOT a stable form of catharsis for Bruce Wayne.

Batman is gonna die a hero. That's trufax.

Absolutely untrue. There are people who have carried anger and guilt issues to their graves. Some emotional scars never go away. Never heal. Some personal demons never get excised.

I'd rather see Batman six feet under than get 'cured' and shun his Batman persona forever.

As someone pointed out in these boards as well, Batman is NOT a stable form of catharsis for Bruce Wayne.

Hence why he never gets cured of his demons.
