It kills me that we've had two ten-minute video diaries and eleven photos for The Hobbit, but only one photo and a blurry bootleg teaser trailer for TDKR.

That's an... odd sense of humor you got there.
maybe im wrong here but if nolan is telling batmans "early" career i highly doubt two face or the joker would be killed off soo soon.
But the Joker wasn't killed off! We even got the line "I think we are destined to do this forever". To me that gives the impression of the first of many battles.
Just because it is new ground doesn't make it better or escalate the conflict. Physical conflict is a letdown when you have plotlines in the past that have dealt with the nature of fear, order vs. chaos, the basic human nature of human beings. Whether we are all savage animals at our core and pushed to our limits? I'm sorry but an unparalleled physical threat is boring unless it is used to explore something deeper, some ideological or thematic conflict.
Btw, NUFFSAID, respect for using the original concept sketch of Bond as your avatar. I love that drawing.

you make it seem like you dont want batman and bane to fight but sit down and have an argument while playing chest.
why not have physical conflict? it can easily fit in with the plotlines and everything els. if you dont want to see a fight or see batman actualy meet his match then i suggest you watch general hospital or some other soap opera kuz you might get disapointed and pissed off once you see any type of violence in the film, you might just faint if thats the case.![]()

Batman has to be physically scared of Bane. Intimidated by somebody who also uses fear against his opponents.
I don't see why it needs to be more complicated than that?
I've watched the latest bootleg in slow-motion and I have to say he looks pretty scared. As he's backing away from Bane you can see his mouth go wide open, which is crazy. If you can't see it now you definitely will when HD hits on Monday. But I never want to see Batman actually scared, just aware that he's finally met his match.

Batman is terrified of Bane. He will run away in fear, hiding in the batcave sucking his thumb.
I think he's more terrified of what's going on downstairs than Bane entirely.
That picture is one of the greatest things ever published on the internet.
So many useful applications.
Lol, love that picture.![]()
