181 minutes? Good Lord. I'll wait for true confirmation but wow..

Soooo....which to watch.....

...the full-length 35mm/regular digital version....

....or the bigger better IMAX version that had to have 16 minutes cut out of it...?

Decisions, decisions...

They are selling tickets for showings at scheduled times. Someone has to know the real runtime by now. But perhaps not based on the past. Anyone check WB411 lately?

I'll be seeing this in a regular theater. I like my theater a lot, obviously it's not IMAX good, but I think it's actually better than most regular theaters IMO.

If I recall correctly the IMAX website I got tickets earlier today said 2:45 but who knows. I'll believe whatever runtime it is when I look at my watch after the last of the credits roll and go "Holy ****!" :woot:

Who is CSR?

Internet abbreviation for Caesar?

Mine was listed at 150 mins. Go figure. :funny:

This is for Fri (Jul 20)

I would find it really odd if a shortened version of the film was made for IMAX. As much as he's touted that format for filming and for experiencing....he had to compromise the final film for it? Ouch.

So you're saying you can already check the screening schedule for TDKR?

Again...AVATAR re-release directors cut is 171 minites and played fine in my IMAX..that's over the "IMAX limit" so there won't be two cuts of the film.

Interesting...can they not be changed with new information?

181 to 171 is considerably longer than 171 is to 170....if we're going by the 170 max.

Avatar is also in digital IMAX, which can exceed the 170 min mark.

Agreed. There is one cut of the film, everyone is getting the same thing regardless of theater.

As long as it's not shorter than the rumored 165 then I'm good. :D

My theater still shows 2h45. :o

They don't have much wiggle room right now. I would think they know the runtime at this point.

Then if that 181m claim is true.....you're looking at a shortened version of the film for IMAX...16min shorter.

It's like having your cake...but you can only use a straw..... :D

Avatar is also in digital IMAX, which can exceed the 170 min mark.

But it was put onto a film reel to play on my local realIMAX, not a digital file, if that's what you're meaning

Can WB just announce the official runtime already?!!! :cmad:

The IMAX theater I'm seeing it at 3 times opening weekend and the same theater I saw TDK in IMAX 15 times says as follows:

THE DARK KNIGHT RISES

Rated: PG13 • Date Released: Jul 19, 2012 • Length: 2 Hours 50 Minutes

We need confirmation on the official running time. I want answers!
