maybe its my tv settings, but i havent figured it out... but specifically the sky scraper jump (going after lau) the lights on the building look like they are flashing... and whenever someone wheres a striped suit or something like that, it looks like it is flashing as well (but thats on more than just TDK) and ive never been able to figure out the problem

Sounds like an interlacing issue. Do you have an HD-TV?

If so - make sure both the TV and the Blu player are on 1080p and not 1080i.

That should fix the problem.

Neither Blu Rays have the Master Audio track. They are True HD. Compressed audio, nowhere near as good as Master Audio. They need to get on the ball with that ****! Pathetic!
TDK sounds sensational IMO

I have ONE tiny issue with TDK's sound. When Joker is hanging out the window and the sound goes low, it makes a fart noise for no reason.

I've said this before, but I cringe every time at the last 'HIT ME!'.

TDK's Blu-Ray picture quality was alright(aside from the IMAX scenes), but the sound was really good, imo.

TrueHD is uncompressed audio.

I was talking about the Blu-ray sound quality, but I agree. Should have used a different take there.

:funny: I don't know if your Blu-ray does it too.

Check if both your DVD player and/or your TV plays a 'true' 24 hz. If they don't they do a 3:2 pulldown to compensate for a 29.97hz rate and you can get some artifacts. But what you're mentioning sounds like moiré aliasing in some tight dark/light/stripe patterns. This can also come about if you have the settings like sharpness too high...factory settings on TVs have a tendency to be too high in a lot of areas.

I would recommend getting a calibration BluRay and follow the steps to adjust your picture...it could help with a lot of the issues.

I don't remember the grain from the theater, it wasn't really until I had it on a new TV and blu-ray for it to start bothering me. The movie that came before, Insomnia, and the movie that came after, the Prestige, don't come close to showing these flaws on my blu-rays or as often so I don't know what the deal is...
Grain in film stock can oftentimes be more evident in high-end digital transfers and monitors. Projection, even the best of them, softens the picture to varying degrees and is actually part of what many like in that it's not as 'clinical' as a high-end video monitor et al. But as mentioned above, also check your picture settings, as factory settings...even the 'film' settings, can often be higher in brightness and contras than what real reference is so it could highlight more grain and such by pumping it up.

I don't like the shot of his face either. Ah well, still an amazing scene.

Batman's voice doesn't match up with his mouth before he misses Joker.

haha i never noticed how off batmans voice was too. wow. how the hell did they not notice the sound problems in this scene? I noticed the joker hit me one the first viewing

Thanks a lot, I'll check all that as well. Calibration Blu-ray? what is this witchcraft you speak of? You know I don't believe in voodoo.

It's a test Blu-ray that helps you with changing your picture settings.

My local theater finally replaced the rain poster with the new one :awesome:

Anyone think Nolan will do a Maximum Movie Mode Commentary for TDKR on Blu-Ray?

I just got my marathon tickets, I decided to go for it. Might as well, It's been 7 years since I've seen BB on big screen and 4 years since I've seen TDK on big screen. I'll watch this amazing trilogy all in one sitting.

I hope my cinema (Storm) will do a marathon, they had one screening for Deathly Hallows Part 1 before the release of Part 2 so maybe they will do the same for good old Batman.
