What did you see? Judging by the timeframe you saw it in, I'm guessing it didn't have any real IMAX shot footage in it..even tho it would have been huge anyway because the normal footage is blown up..when the real stuff plays for Rises..you'll be blown away. It jumps up further in height and the picture becomes about twice as clear.

Sadly, that's the bad thing about IMAX..ruins all other screens lol.

I saw Prometheus in IMAX 3D. I can't imagine what the 65mm must be like.

Seeing as Batman Begins cues are coming back in force I sincerely hope that the first 2 minutes of Macrotus return in some fashion. It was completely absent from TDK and personally it's one of my favorite parts of any of the tracks from both BB & TDK.

I know the choir boy part of it that we now hear in Rises as well was used in TDK but the first 2 minutes were nowhere to be heard. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Wait, where was the choir boy part heard in TDK?

I'm probably not remembering correctly when it comes to the choir boy part all I know is that part of the latter half of Macrotus was used at some point in TDK.

I definitely know that the first 2 minutes are nowhere to be found though.

I'm so excited by IMAX that I get hyped up for other people when they go see it lol. Can't wait for you're proper IMAX review!

Agreed, that is my favourite part of the BB score.

I could be wrong, but I don't believe there was any choir singing in TDK. but the background piano melody played through the scenes where, Alfred was reading the note from Rachel/Batman found Harvey's coin/Batman saying "I'm sorry Harvey" in the hospital.

The part that followed the choir boy though was definitely, so the connection is there. It's nice to hear the more powerful section come back, though.

Yup that's what I was thinking of when I remembered the latter half of Macrotus being present in TDK.

I just hope the first 2 minutes of it come back in some form.

:)

it was only heard in BB during the Wayne's deaths if I'm not wrong? I don't think it was used in TDK.

Ok, thought so. The inclusion of the choir itself is what's key for me here. It's really important, I think.

Yes, it definitely could be. The only time we've ever heard it was after Bruce's parents were taken, and it's distinctively of a young choir boy, in essence the innocent boy that died that night and was replaced with the rage that manifested into Batman. It returning with 'Rise' could definitely be a clue about the nature of the ending.

I like that it seems as though they are going to give Bane some layers and depth, rather than him just being a one dimensional villain.

there wasn't any choir used for TDK? personally, I'd think it be really epic if a choir was used to backup the powerful moments of the main theme in TDKR score.

Come on..you know everything Nolan does is 3D.

Except the 3D.

There's not much choir in the Nolan Batfilms. Just that part in BB and now at the end of TDKR. Which suits me fine, choir doesn't work everywhere and in every style. This trailer kind of music with the excessively epic choirs has gotten a bit tiring to me.

Same here. It's been a nice change... and I like how they've kind of found a workaround with the "chant" as it's adding vocals to the score but still making it atypical of generic hollywood epic choir themes.

When thinking back, I'm pretty sure Spiderman 2 started that epic choir music trend in trailers??? Sm-1 had a little of it too...

I just really want to hear 0:40 in Molossus stepped up a notch. That little melody is perfect.

EDIT: By 'stepped up', I mean in the same way that the little 2-note motif that occurs later on in Molossus (and other tracks too) sounds so much bigger and more triumphant in the ending of the theatrical trailer, when the title card shows.

love that melody too!

Why Do We Fall would be the perfect track to play when Bruce puts his Batcostume back on for the first time after his beatdown.

The most intriguing for me is 'mind if I cut in'. It's texturally completely different from the rest of the music. Like Selina herself - it has to be her music.

Indeed. Hope she and her theme meld properly into the established universe.

Rise definitely sounds like [BLACKOUT]Bruce dying[/BLACKOUT], full circle
