Well hey still in the 90s. A fantastic score if it can stay there!

Tied with Logan as the top rated CBM of the year at 93%.

Logan has the higher average rating though. I think Thor will probably finish at 92 with 7.5 rating once most of the reviews trickle in (usually takes a few weeks).

Here we go, lol Xeno said this would happen.

Logan was surely the best CBM this year, but Ragnarok is easily the 2nd best. Very different movies, but both great.

Logan was overrated to me, I did not care for Xavier's dialogue.

Does it really matter which one has the higher average rating?

I mean, if we need a tie breaker for the best reviewed CBM of the year, the average rating would be a good tool. Though, there is a fair chance this won't stay at 93% anyways.

But that doesn't mean it has to be your favorite of the year. Both are great movies.

I'd put Wonder Woman over it as well (sue me Marvel fans).

This is about on par with GOTG 2 for me, and above Spider-Man: Homecoming.

There are things that both this and GOTG 2 did that rather annoyed me, which hurt both of them.

And this doesn't have the emotional punch of Guardians either.

Still good, but I didn't love it as much as many others seem to. It was, good.

I think this is a year where it'd be VERY arguable for any of the 5 CBMs we got so far to be the best of the year. I personally put WW on the bottom of the 5, even though I very much enjoyed it, but I could totally see arguments for any of them.

Okay we get it.

I was watching Brad Jones from Channel Awesome's review and, well lets just say that it won't make some people happy. But, he has a point (even if I don't agree with everything that he says).

So an obscure YouTuber made negative comments. It's nice that this made you happy but what does it have to do with anything? You've not cited anything from the video that might be of interest, perhaps because you'd like others to take your remarks as bait. It's one thing to add to the discussion and quite another to attempt incitement.

By the by, my brother and I loved Ragnarok. Thor was an absolute beast! That's what I wanted to see, Thor as the star of his own film, kicking ass through the cosmos. I'll have more to say when I get back to my laptop later.

If you care about RT, it does matter considering that's the actual score of the film.
People care way too much. The movie getting over 90% is pretty huge considering Thor: The Dark World is lowest rated MCU movie ever.

Wonder Woman bored me to tears.

If it had gone by the name of anything else not related to one of the most famous comic book characters of all time - it wouldn't be talked about nearly the same. Gal Gaddot saves the weak film because she's very likable.

While I like WW, I think it's climax occurred during the No Man's Land sequence, and the ending was rather lackluster with an one-dimensional villain. But Gadot did prove me wrong with her excellent performance.

Cool that you both loved it.

Yeah, it was a solid intro to the character. I'd put it on par with the first Cap and Thor movies. The No Man's Land sequence was fantastic and surely the highlight. If BvS came after that movie, it would have made her appearance a whole lot more impactful. But that's a whole 'nother (off) topic.

I agree. Thor had his best hammer-action (for as long as he had it), and power-set displays in this movie. When he cut loose it was incredible. This was such a fun movie.
