Hey, is Haunted Knight really worth picking up? I've read Long Halloween and Dark Victory and loved them both, but I hear Haunted Knight has several unrelated stories in it. Is it still worth a look?
It's nowhere near as good as TLH and DV (neither did it pretend to be), but it's definitely a fun read. And if you're a fan of Tim Sale's artwork, it's practically a must. I always kind of disliked the "Ghosts" story, but "Madness" and especially "Fears" are very good.

There is one panel in Madness that I just love with a passion.
It is the Mad Hatter stepping forward out of the shadows with his hat and his gun in his hands. He says something like ''You can always have more tea, can't you Alice?''

I love it.

I really like Sale's Joker in Haunted Knight, as his jaw isn't WAAAAAAY too big like it gets in his later works. (Don't get me wrong, Sale's my favorite comic artist, I just really don't like his Joker)

nice

BTW: I bought Spider-man blue today. the art and coloring are STUNNING.

Loose comics or a trade and where did you buy it?

Did you guys see Sale did the cover for October's issue of Batgirl? I'm liking it...

yeah, especially because the price tag said € 18 :)
BTW: It is fantastic; art, story, coloring. Fantastic. Pick it up!!

I just finally read The Long Halloween and am up to Dark Victory, TLH is not that bad but it doesn't have that epic scope like Dark Knight Returns and like Frank Miller's art, it takes time to get accustomed to Tim Sale's art but it's still a good mystery story to read.

It's cool eh!
"We moeten echt eens iets afspreken, binnekort is er een stripbeurs in Rijswijk, misschien leuk om met nog een paar SHH'rs heen te gaan?"
