I liked the parents bit, too (2 very good actors they got there), but the after credit scene was an editing mess, imo. Very awkward (as was the scene where Peter offers to swing with Gwen and then they cut to a single wide shot of the swinging. Screamed victim of edting, that scene). But what that scene sets up is very interesting, I agree.

I was just happy to see Gwen done justice on the screen finally; it was my biggest motivator to see this film, and cannot wait for her last moment with Garfield on screen. The ending blew me away somehow, knowing that their secret romance will be in vain soon. Where Spiderman grows up and and becomes more of the tragic hero we can relate to, in terms of life and it's hazardous ways with enemies on every corner.

Also, where the hell was Aunt May during the entire second act of TASM?

I remember her uttering some line about "Secrets" and then we literally don't see her again for what I'm gonna guess is 45 minutes.

And even when we finally get to see her after all that time, it's just a reaction shot to what's happening on the news.

Wth?
