This sounds FREAKIN AWESOME. As a Superman fan, I wasn't upset about rumors of Superman's death. I just wanted Superman to not get shown up by Batman. I'm good with this and can't wait until I see it this Friday.

Yeah, same page. I wanted the fight to be as even as possible (although we know ultimately Bats is going to win). I'm still going to get emotional when Supes dies (even though I know he'll be back soon), but I'm still super-psyched about seeing it next Thursday.

I think those complaints are kind of crazy.

Superman fans, if they understand the character, should realize he doesn't care about winning as something as petty as a fight with Batman. All Superman cares about is saving people, and if that means getting his butt kicked because he won't kill Batman, then Superman wins the ideological battle and comes out the better hero.

That's fine and good, but Superman fans are tired of hearing Batman fans talk crap about how Batman would beat Superman, no ifs, ands or buts. Gets old hearing that garbage, and then dealing with WB/DC giving Batman prominence over all things DC, including Superman only adds to the frustration.

I knew WB/DC wasn't gonna let their cash cow look bad even against the character that put DC on the map in the first place. But as long as Superman doesn't get embarrassed, that's the best we can hope for now.

I get that one because people are tired of childish Batman fans misinterpreting things and jerking off over "OH BUT HE PUNCHED SO AND SO IN THE FACE HE'S A BETTER HERO". I say this AS a Batman fan. It's not so much people saying Batman can beat other people in fights, I'm just tired of seeing one of my favorite characters being written as a dick who's constantly treating his friends like trash and trying to "one up" them. It doesn't make him fun to read about in those kinds of interpretations, and I hate other people only valuing Batman because he wears a dark outfit and occasionally "beats up" other superheroes in their mind. They never talk about him adopting people or the good he does for the city giving people jobs and helping those in need. The kind of casual fans that call Robin "gay" and stuff like that. Even though those people cover their ears and scream when you mention him getting punched out by Hal Jordan or choked by Aquaman.

Of course I ignore that stuff 99% of the time but after hearing it for all 20 years of your life it gets irritating. That's why I say I understand people's fears over it.

Either way, the leak that we've all been discussing has the fight end on an even footing.

Remember - all the scenes we've been shown of Clark being messed up, Batman has his full armor on. Guess what we haven't seen in trailers or tv spots? Those leaked images of an absolutely wrecked Bruce in his mangled armor.

Trust me, I'm tired of it, too, even as a huge Batman fan as well. I enjoy the World's Finest friendship so much that it bothers me every time someone tries to pit my two favorite heroes against each other. I constantly go, "Why? What's the point of bringing up who can beat who? Both characters couldn't be less concerned with that. Why should you?"

But I find peace in knowing that they have no clue what they're talking about, and all it takes for me to shut them up is to tell them: Batman admits that Superman would win if the chips were down. I tell them about the quote from Batman: Hush.

"Deep down, Clark's essentially a good person, and I'm not."

I like both characters and both are on my top list and so it doesn't suck at all, I get to enjoy the best things of both instead of *****ing about batman having glory or Superman not being the main man.

I'm not the one taking these films so serious and what sits perfectly well with me or not

Bummer. I was kind of hoping that it wasn't.

I really hope that we get an accurate recount of the superman vs Batman fight because the description given by Pale didn't exactly leave a lot to be desired.

I wouldn't be surprised if this ends up getting mixed reviews as well, namely on how people feels about how Superman's character was handled in this film...along with Batman as well.
