I thought the first time we see Batman was unintentionally funny. Such an awkward position. Didn't find it funny the moment he started to move though. You've never seen a live-action Batman move like this.:up:

You know what? I kinda felt like he really looked like a big bat hanging on the wall :D Awesome intro !

The movie was really bad. I couldn't have even imagined that it would be this bad. All I wanted was Man of Steel 2 but then I get this. There are just too many characters. Many times I was just wishing that it would have been either Batman or Superman solo movies instead of this. There were great scenes here and there but they don't save the movie. I liked Ben Affleck as Batman and Jeremy Irons was great too so I can't wait for Batman solo movie. I have to say that the ending really suprised me because I didn't expect it to happen now or ever in the movies.

I want another Man of Steel movie.

You have the Keaton and Nolan movies for that. This is comicbook Batman brought to life and about damn time too.
I don't remember any huge monsters in Keaton movies. The main reason why I complain might be that I don't really want to see any Justice League movie. If I could decide Batman and Superman would not share the same universe.

Aaannnd just like that, your opinion of this movie is invalid. :o

It felt a little awkward for me 'cause the cop and Batman stared at each other a bit too long, still great overall though. You expect a parody video to put some dialogue in of Bats saying something like *cop turns around and stares at him* "...............I didn't think you'd see me.... Your zipper's down." *cop looks and back up* *Batman's gone* "Dammit!"

I think a less realistic Batman film means they can bring in the villains that wouldn't have worked in the TDK like Clayface, Man-Bat etc Suicide Squad has Killer Croc which means the odder aspects of the Batman lore exist in the DCEU

Really? It was like two seconds tops before Batman shot like a rocket out of there.

Yeah but I think huge cave troll looking Doomsday with no personality was too much. I'm sure Superman comic fans were excited but I wasn't.

Edit: Clayface and Man-Bat could be done better.

We get it Galactus, you don't like Superman, you like Batman. Loud and clear :D

I guess him being fully visibly in the light made it feel longer?
Yeah, I think that's what I'm getting at then, the audience saw him for so long then the cop spun around and he bolted after however long it was. The atmosphere of that scene was terrific though, and I loved some of the dialogue after of the cop saying he'd never seen him before.

But I like Superman. I like the old Superman movies and even Superman Returns. Superman TAS was one of my favorite cartoons when I was a kid. I just haven't read the comics that much.

It was. Didn't find it as funny as Bruce falling into the well, or the whole affair with the bats doing wire work for him. I think the baby-Bruce scenes should have been cut entirely, they were done very similarly in Batman Begins and the audience knows what's up.

Still getting my thoughts together but biggest positive was Ben Affleck. He did very well with the material he had.

The biggest negative was Lex Luthor. Just as bad as he seemed in the trailers and feels like he's inspired by The Riddler in Batman Forever.

Considering Bruce even mentions the whole thing being a dream, it's kind of hard to miss. That doesn't make it any less ridiculous looking, or unneeded in a crowded movie as it is.

Just watched the leaked cameos. They were freaking great. I can't wait for this movie tomorrow. Screw the reviews I'll just judge for my self.

This is the most peculiar casting and portrayal I've seen in a movie in a while. Why Eisenberg? I mean he's a fine actor, but why him? And why redefine Lex? Was there something wrong with the Lex character that I didn't know about, where they have to change who he is? Lex Luthor has always been cool and controlled, a genius tycoon who is also brilliant scientific and criminal mastermind. Yes, the Riddler is a perfect comparison for this Lex....he comes off as this little peeve, an annoying, floppy-haired mad scientist, talking at the speed of sound and eating Jolly Ranchers. Why???:loco:

Lex's characterization is just another one of the odd and baffling decisions Synder and company made in this film. I just don't understand why they took this route. Why is this movie so damned dreary and depressing? Who wants to see heroes constantly dreary and depressed? Nolan's Batman, if that's the standard they are trying to achieve, was not dreary or depressing. There were plenty of light moments, happy times, jokes, lots of hope and inspiring themes. I loved coming back to Nolan's Gotham over and over again. I don't want to come back to this Synder universe. But I want the JLA movie more than anything....sigh...

Loved Lex, he was fresh, they did it this way because we've seen him portrayed three (four?) times before and it's best to do something completely different rather than the same thing. I never felt it was dreary or depressing though, that's one complaint I don't get, I didn't get it on MOS, I still don't, it's dark, but not that dark. Terrio said JL Part 1 would be much lighter, so there you go.
