well his normal bat gear was bullet proof at close range. Does everything have to be explained in a comic book movie? Why do people in all comic book films never get hit by bullets from a machine gun??

he must discredit this movie!!!!

You don't think the US government could link Lex back to that wheelchair? Especially when Lois tips off the General about Lex's involvement in the Africa incident? You need that to be explained in more detail? Why?

No I do not think Lex Luthor who is apparently smart enough to hack into Kryptonian technology and genetically bio-engineer and alien halfbreed monster is so dumb as to let himself be traced back to a simple bomb. To expect me to accept otherwise would merely highlight how inconsistent the writers were.

I accept your surrender on those points you wish to move on from.

Ha. Thankfully I lack the ego to be be baited by this, but I fully appreciate the charm. :D

The audience knows the things he did, the people in the story don't have or show any cause for his arrest. None. It's like a horror movie where the audience sees the slasher hiding in the closet but the kids in the house don't know he's there.

Unbelievabale lol
There are scenes of Lois beginning the investigation, trying to convince Swanwick to help her, Swanwick helping her and those scenes are called useless, boring, etc. That's how she had proof.

She even tells Lex he had been exposed. Did we really need to get 10 more scenes of Swanwick giving her the paperwork, Lois sending the evidence, etc etc etc?

I agree. If the rest of the film worked. But it didn't BECAUSE of these inconsistencies and hamfisted story beats. They wanted him in prison so they could shave his head. That's all i got from that.

You're probably right. They just wanted that shot. I guess showing how Lex becomes bald is a moment that the DCEU can't do without.

"Didn't didn't didn't" there are four different theories on this page of why Alex was arrested from four different people who saw the movie. So obviously it was a storytelling failure for not enunciating that. It's an important part of the story. Is he in jail or prison? What prison shaves your head? Only ones I know of are capital punishment ones waiting to execute prisoners. It was an afterthought that "looked cool"
Maybe it's some kind of supervillain prison, that prepares villains to better be super menaces to society. They shave your head, they make you listen a lot of classical music, they give you a cat...

He was at the epicenter of an energy blast which leveled entire city blocks of buildings. No, his bat suit does not protect him from that.

Seeing a lot of arguments out there saying if Batman is a killer in this universe, then why the hell is The Joker still alive?
I believe it just adds a little more fuel to the fire that the Joker

is Jason Todd

Whoever said in an interview some time back that Jessie's Lex is fun and silly in public but cold and calculating in private is a dirty liar.

He was a clown throughout the film...

He blew up the capitol before the Scout ship taught him how to do everything with Zod's body. All he did was insert a key to get the scout ship to enlighten him. There was Wonder Woman, Batman, Lois and General Swanwick in the know of Lex's schemes. What good do they do if they don't allow justice to win?

No baiting. I promise. I'm just answering the questions you seem to have.

I think the saddest truth is that this film about Batman and Superman got me most excited about Wonder Woman and Ezra Miller's Flash.

I can only hope the 3 hour version fills in some gaps. I like how superman gets blown up by a nuke then comes down and immediately asks batman if he got the kryptonite spear. That seems really convenient.

That stinks but Flash and WW have an advantage. They haven't had at least 6 movies each to expose you to them. But think of the finally getting to see them. Batman and Superman were there to draw us in so we get excited about the rest. Seems like their plan worked on you.

It was. The story made it that way.

Maybe he overheard them talking about it while using superhearing in spac? Or he's smart enough to come to the same conclusions as both Bats and Lois?

Agreed. But most of the Youtube videos WW was watching were eye-rollers. Particularly Cyborgs. This movie was hardly about itself though, which is the sad part. Hopefully Suicide Squad can remedy that slightly.

Man after Jesse said going bold was the greatest scene he was in that was soooooo disappointing.

So now I am here. How early did it break that Superman would die?

Not a fan of slacker hipster movie Flash.

I'll stick to the TV show until Felicity Smoak takes that one over too.

Ezra Miller has short hair now and is clean shaven, ie the photo of the cast taken a few days ago, considering the film shoots on April 11th, it has to be his Barry Allen look.

Lex is a genius. No matter how awful the film was, no matter how awful lex was portrayed, we do still accept the the intention of the character as being extremely intelligent. I don't think that is something which requires explanation or defense. Bombs can be made simply, cheap, and with minimal means. And Lex chose his patsy carefully and for all the obvious reasons. It is completely inconsistent with the presentation of the character to have him leave proof linking him to being responsible for the bomb. Whether all the heroes know he's responsible or not, it would be completely inconsistent for him to have left proof for them to convict him with. It's just bad writing.

Simple. Metropolis thing broke him, and he probably hadn't ran into Joker since and now Superman has redeemed something inside Batman he probably won't be as brutal now as shown by not branding Lex.

lol if the extra 30 minutes was the missing pacing.

In a suit that blocks point blank gun shots behind Wonder Woman's shields.
You cannot compare a gun shot to an energy emission that destroys entire city blocks. Nor was he behind Wonder Woman's shield, nor would it have mattered. The blast consumed everything within its radius. Including Superman and Wonder Woman who were only able to withstand it because of their super strength.
