Not really a theory but just a thought, what if superman is gravely injured in the battle against doomsday. What if Batman (having studied Kryptonian biology or gaining what info lex has on Kryptonian biology) somehow finds a way to nurse him bsck to health?

Don't see it happening.

Like i said just a thought not a theory. Although it would compliment batmans intelligence nicely

Where are the leaked WW images? I'm digging around on twitter and cannot find these.

They're not on reddit either.

And I'm not internet saavy enough to figure out how to work 4chan to my benefit.

So if I may ask everyone, we'll those that are fine with the idea of superman dying at the end of this film, why are you guys so okay with it when it isn't exactly guaranteed that superman will be featured prominently in JL? I mean wouldn't you guys be okay with it if they end up doing to superman on what happened to Neosho in Matrix Revolution where he was sidelined from the main adventure until rescued near midway into the film?

Honestly - it's fine. It helps provide reason for the formation of the league and also allows us that "HELL YES! WHOOOOHOOOO!" oppertunity when all is lost fighting Darkseid and then Superman shows up and ish gets real.

It's like that old saying goes, "How I can I miss you if you don't go away."

Although - I will admit, the level of "whooohooo"ness is severely diminished in these types of films because a comic book character is killed and resurrected so often.

We know almost nothing about JL. We don't know that Superman won't play a big part in it. Why spend too much time worrying about something I know nothing about?

I also think that what's best for the story should be done, almost without exception. If DOJ would be a lesser film for allowing Superman to survive, then he should die.

My ultimate acceptance depends on the execution. If it's botched, then the issue will be a lack of emotional punch, not the idea itself.

Also - for the record, there's no way they have a JL movie without Superman.

That's leaving money on the table and there's no way WB doesn't show up to the show with all their big guns.

"dead" or not, Superman will continue to exist in these films without a doubt in my mind.

I'm fine with the idea because:

1) Kal-El will not stay dead and he is the leader of the Justice League. No Superman; no Justice League.

2) If it makes for the best overall story arc then I'm for it. I'd rather Supes be out of commission for an indefinite period with a triumphant return and have a great JL trilogy than Supes be present the whole time with a **** Justice League trilogy.

I think that's what's important really.

Looks like a LOT of people are confirming the dead Supes thing is part of the nightmare sequence.

good.

You beat me to it lol

I read one person say it was but I think that was Box Office Z and I don't know what his credentials are if any.

I myself have speculated that it may very well be that and given the scorch it matches the comics when Superman has come up against magic.

From (the epic) Justice League Unlimited episode "Clash"

I saw the boxofficez too...but nothing else other than that...he said many sources...

My concern with the nightmares are that they'll 1) destroy the film's pacing and 2) won't make sense in context. Hearing Snyder describe them, they sound like they'll be weird and ambiguous (are they really nightmares? Or maybe an ALTERNATE TIMELINE?!) for the sake of it, and I'm not about that.

In that very same thread, BoxofficeZ OPENLY ADMITS to lying about TFA. That kills his credibility for me.

Yup some he

But as has been said above seems a few others might also be saying its a vision although we've got no confirmation of these sources yet.

I don't think anyone believes that superman will stay dead. And I keep bringing up Thor as an example to make my point.

Everyone knew that Thor was going to find a way back to Earth at the end of his first solo film in order to become a part of the avengers. But due to him having lost his normal means to Earth, it wasn't until near the midpoint of The Avengers that he showed up, which significantly limited his interactions and role in the film.

I fear the same will apply to superman if we have to wait until JL to see him resurrected. Furthermore, I'm pretty sure that they'll have to devote more time in showing on how he was revived and can't simply chalk it all up with a single passing line as Loki did with Thor's return.

I might be getting the wrong impression here but it seems like everyone here would be okay with just having superman return in JL to give some motivating speech to the group and he told involved in the final act, without having anything to contribute to the group in the previous two acts of the film.

Honestly, I wonder what goes on in Snyder's mind because he keeps saying on how the end of BvS gets the stage set for jl and yet if you end the film with superman dead, then how the he'll does that stage the DCEU in the right direction?

You're wondering what goes on in Snyder's HEAD regarding the JL setup, and you DON'T EVEN KNOW HOW THE MOVIE ENDS. Sense. That makes none.

Exactly ^ let's ****ing see it for ourselves first.

Herolee man you're overthinking **** too much. You're latching onto this when we honestly know nothing as of now. Let's at least wait and see.

We get it already. You saw one pic taken out of context and decided you hate the direction the DCEU is going and nothing, not even logic and common sense is going to change your mind.

You're starting to sound like a former SHH poster "Kurosawa".:o
