Honestly would love it if Superman "dies" and Bruce goes to his grave and says some powerful words and the ending shot is Supes opening his eyes. It would leave a lasting impression and show Superman's sacrifice to the world and why they need him.

I don't know if I'd rule out the possibility of Superman faking his death, possibly with the assistance of Batman.

Give him time to go and build the fortress seeing as there isn't really one after Zod took that ship from the ice. Supes gets away from the whole "you're bad for us" thing for a while - you can tell stories that take place in superman's absence so no one is asking "why doesn't Superman just show up and help?". Etc.

Also - about the end credits thing - the Green Lantern, while a failed film, does show WB's willingness to play ball with things like that.

I'd be willing to bet next Monday, not a single one of us will be leaving the theater until the final credits roll and the lights come up... just in case.

Some guy on reddit said that the angrier Doomsday gets the spikes on his back slightly grow....I'm not sure I buy his story. Some of what he had to say just seemed like BS. Like he hasn't paid attention to what has been confirmed.

Killing Superman in a way that makes people BELIEVE he is dead will at the very least make people feel that the threat the Justice League faces is credible. Otherwise, why need a Justice League? Superman could just take the threat out...."



In Man Of Steel, Superman takes down an army of Supermans, essentially. He takes down an army of rogue Kryptonians. If he can do that on his own, what threat would require him to need partners, let alone 6 other super-powered (well, 5) beings? He's SUPERMAN!

So, if you show that he can be killed. Or you establish a threat that he alone cannot handle, then you realistically show that there is a need for there to be a Justice League team.

I would love to see Justice League: Part 1 begin with Bruce and Diana recruiting a team and the world under some sort of threat or occupation. When the teams if formed, but still overwhelmed by this threat, you bring Superman back in the third act to complete the League and show his importance to the DC Universe.

Hoping my prediction/hope from a few years ago has panned out to be true.

I know it wasn't exactly high resolution, but I think Superman looks way too clean for a guy who was beaten to death. There's a gash across his chest, sure, but his hair was perfect and I don't remember there being a speck of blood anywhere.

Not really a theory but just a thought, what if superman is gravely injured in the battle against doomsday. What if Batman (having studied Kryptonian biology or gaining what info lex has on Kryptonian biology) somehow finds a way to nurse him bsck to health?
