We get it already. You saw one pic taken out of context and decided you hate the direction the DCEU is going and nothing, not even logic and common sense is going to change your mind.

You're starting to sound like a former SHH poster "Kurosawa".:o

The one of Diana and Bruce at a cemetery

And the tombstone

I think he'll come back before the credits roll. At the very least the final shot will be of an empty grave. For all we know it could be like the Justice League episode and instead of being sent to the future he's sent to Apokolips.

Do we know what that desert area from the nightmare scenes is? Is it Kahndaq? I think Kahndaq was mentioned in a magazine article posted here a while back. Maybe that Black Adam rumor isn't that farfetched. Especially considering how early he was cast in relation to the shazam movie.

I think it actually may be Metropolis or Gotham. Just completely wrecked, and wiped out.

So, now that we know there is an opening credits montage/scene. Does this mean "Beautiful Lie" is what plays during it? I wonder what it is. I thought it could be Bruce's life spliced with Supes saving people?

Who wants to be a good friend and PM me a break down of everything we've learned? I won't get to see it for a while so I'm at the point where I just don't care anymore.

Nothing new in the way of spoilers today? I thought I would hop over to 4chan and check that out. It was my first time there and it may be my last. That place is brutal. I've been on message boards quite a bit, but I've never seen anything like that. Those fools are crazy.

Y'know everyone says there'd be no suprise if Superman returns in JL. But there would. If he dies and returns in JL the suprise isn't that he returns. It's when, why and how he returns.

-We know why, to join the JL and protect the world.
-By when I mean when during the movie. Depending on how long after BvS the JL movie takes place we'll have alot of time in between the beggining assembling the JL and Darkseids intial attack for the team to assemble. I assume Superman will return when the JL is being overpowered and give them a winning edge against Darkseid.
-Of course he could also simply land from outer space after a trip off planet to heal near the sun at the very beginning of the movie and the first act of the film could be how people and heroes are reacting to his return. Also how Superman is reacting to the heroes that have risen as protectors in his absence. Wondering whether, at this point, Superman is needed or not.
-Or maybe the first Part doesn't have Superman until the final act. Maybe a different threat rises in light of Darkseid assembling the JL in Part 1, with Superman arriving in the end to even the odds. Seeing this Darkseid decides to pay Earth a visit and the team fully fights together in Part 2.
-Then there's how. Obviously the only thing that can heal Superman is the Sun. So he'll probably go to the sun. Ofcourse, he doesn't have to go directly into space to be healed by the sun. Even without being directly infront of the Sun Supermans healing is way beyond an average humans. Hell he could just stay in the coffin sleep in a "Healing Coma" or some comic bs like that.

That's all I got. Nuthin else really heals Supes other than the Sun and his own alien healing factor.

Someone said in another thread that Snyder mentioned Supes can't fly too deep into space. I'm hoping to confirm that. From what we've seen in MOS, he doesn't exit too far from the earth and re-enters right away.

You know, I just have a hard time believing that they'd have publicly released concept art to be seen by the general public (the half hour program on the CW) that clearly shows the character as a part of the team if Superman was gonna die.

Someone over on reddit said that Superman is never ACTUALLY dead in the movie. That was almost his exact wording. He wouldn't get into it anymore than that.

Have we ever learned the context of the newspaper clipping Bruce reads that says "YOU LET YOUR FAMILY DIE!"? Is it an Easter egg to the Joker taunting him, or just some of Lex's manipulation?

I only ask because Yahoo is running an article saying the latest trailer (Korean?) shows this "new footage teasing Jared Leto's Joker!" and it just sounds like hyperbole. Not to mention people are excited/currently expecting it the comment section of the article and on Facebook.

What if they fake his death? In today's clip Lex says he wants Superman to fight to the death and I'm assuming he unleashes Doomsday when Bats fails. So what if they fake his death until they stop Lex.

The only way I see him dying is if he gets resurrected in the same movie, which I think would be pointless, even if it's done well.

There might be a moment where he's on the brink of death, or is believed to be dead for a period before making some kind of triumphant return, but that's as far as I see it going. I'll be very, very surprised if Superman dies and is resurrected in JL.

I wouldn't mind a spoiler PM, I'm really curious.

I think the poster was suggesting, without directly saying, that it may be another 'knightmare' scene. People keep going back to that time and time again. I don't know how credible this is. Someone also mentioned that these visions could also be a peek into the future, which is why Flash pops up warning Batman. If that is the case (and that is a big if), as one other person suggested, the Flash's role could be a little bigger than we thought. If Flash is traveling through time to warn of possible danger, who knows where things could lead.

My hope...my DEAR hope...is that they find a way to explore the multiverse in some way. It would be great to see brief (very, very brief) cameos from Arrow, The Flash, SuperGirl in this film universe...not so much because I need to see those folks on the big screen, it's more because I would like an acknowledgement that other timelines, worlds, universes exist and DC is crafty and talented enough to pull it off.

I know. I was using that post as a jumping off point for my own thoughts.

That would be cool, but again, I'm worried how that'll be handled.

I don't really NEED to see all that, personally, but I wouldn't be mad at it.

When you really step back and think about, there really haven't been that many spoilers. What we know about the movie so far we've really pieced from the trailers, magazine articles, and interviews.

The most frequently asked questions seem to be:
  • What is Flash's exact role?
  • Does the Joker make an appearance?
  • Does Darkseid make an appearance?
  • Do we get a Death in the Family scene?
  • Is Jimmy Olsen making an appearance?
  • What is Aquaman's exact role?
  • How is Doomsday defeated?
  • Does Doomsday grow spikes and look like his character from the comics?
  • Who dies? Some rumors say Ma Kent. The leaked screen shot of Superman appearing dead has thrown everyone for a loop
  • And the biggest question (which is surprising)...is Hal Jordan in the movie?

Am I missing anything guys and gals?

Don't think Supes dies.
‎
Here's how I think it plays out:‎

1. Supes/Bats are wary of each other--Supes gives warning (the bat is dead).

2. Bats gets K-rock, builds Mechsuit to destroy Supes.*

3. Mechsuit fight initiated by Bats. Supes doesn't want to kill him. K-rock helps Bats "win"

4. Bats' "victory" is short lived because Lois, trying to escape Lex, who has kidnapped her, gets in mortal danger.

5. Supes is too weak to save Lois, so Bats does. *Truce is called--Lois reveals Lex's DD plans and they know he's the enemy.

6. Supes, having recovered, goes to Lex (what have you done?). Lex says he will release DD on humanity unless Supes fights Bats to the death. *
‎
7. Supes refuses because he knows Bats doesn't stand a chance. * The mechsuit was destroyed and Bats has K-rock but it won't be enough without the extra strength of the suit. He kneels before Lex to beg him to reconsider his plan (kneeling scene). *Lex sneers, Supes goes to stop him. Too late. DD unleashed.

8. Superman knows it's his fault, so he is willing to die to stop DD. *He takes him into the atmosphere and tosses him far away into space, but crashes back to Earth.*

9. He comes back to life; story ends with Bats thanking him and trusting him.

Thoughts?
