Looks like the PC game 'Elite Dangerous' is coming to the XB1 at 17:00 PST tonight as a limited time exclusive... Been intrigued by this for a while.

one thing I don't like about that new Elite controller is that the face buttons lack their colors.

BC alone just resparked my interest in giving the X1 another chance, especially now that a regular 1TB model is available for $400.

i'm no troll but the bc is a year too late imo. Remember the 360 had limited bp and not many used it later in the console's lifespan for obvious reasons

The 360 has a much bigger and better back catalogue though than the original Xbox. That's why a lot of people are so much more interested in BC this time.

yeah. if they can offer a robust list of BC titles, and those titles work without much issue on the X1, then that's a huge selling point for the system.

especially if Sony's only response is to continue pushing PS Now.

For it to get somewhere I think it eventually needs to be most big titles that are covered. The ones that aren't need to be the exception. And the fringe titles like mediocre near-launch games don't need to be a priority.

its download only. The 360 discs are just used for verification to allow you to download the games onto your Xbox One. You can also purchase games or download games you already own digitally

It's not perfect, but it's a decent start.

It may become an issue if they need to work out the rights with every major game.

Yeah, Mass Effect works like a charm. It's strange playing a 360 game on my X1.

Not sure how to DL my XBL games, though. I can't figure out how to DL Super Meat Boy yet. With Mass Effect, I just put my disc in and it worked. I'll have to mess around with it later.

How does that work? Does it download from the disc, or does it read the disc and download it online?

Does the disc spin the entire time?
