If you're buying a console now, you can choose between two that essentially do the same thing, but one which will have a catalogue of games ten times larger.

This is huge. And there's nothing Sony can do about it.

Microsoft really made some good moves here. I think it will pay off big time come the holidays.

I mean, honestly, that's kind of silly logic. Just because 10 of your friends are getting something, it doesn't mean that 10 million people are doing the same. C'mon now.

I may be wrong, we'll see if the Xbone sales skyrocket, but I think to the average gamer BC really isn't that big of a deal. It's more of an enthusiast thing overall.

Yeah, I'll pick it up. I feel like I'm less nostalgic for Rare than a lot of people, but I enjoy their games enough, and yeah, 30 games for $30 is a great deal.

The internet is a very tiny amount of the gaming public. If the internet was any indication of anything, COD would flop every year and games like Dark Souls would move 20 million units with each installment. Like I said, we'll see, but I really think people expecting this to be a huge gap closer are overselling it.

No. I think Windows X and things like Fallout mods on XB1 versions will be a huge gap closer. BC is a nice buffer though.

That elite controller is very impressive, I bought a scuf back in September and I've been happy with it, but I'll be happy to have an official, supported controller, I'm just hoping those hair trigger mechanisms work well enough, and that they offer a variety of sticks when you buy it instead of having to jump at new sticks sold separately. No issues with scuf, they made a lot of money in a short amount of time, and they'll still have their sponsored players, it's just up to preference if MS did a good enough job with it.

The paddles already look better than the Scuf. Plus, I like how easy it is to turn off the hair triggers, and I like that Dpad. It'll be easier to use for FPSs.

Yeah the paddles look nice. My question is how much tolerance is in those hair trigger adjustments. Hard to tell from a video.

As a Playstation fan, 360 backwards compatibility (and dat Rare collection) has guaranteed I will be buying a Xbox One this year. Xbox definitely beat Sony at this year's E3.

It would work the other way for me with the other consoles too. BC means I'll just buy the latest console from each manufacturer and trade in hardware at the end of every generation.
