TRU is having a buy an XB1 get pretty much whatever XB1 game you want.. Free right now too.
npds for this month will be very interestingTRU is having a buy an XB1 get pretty much whatever XB1 game you want.. Free right now too.
I don't believe SFV will be a full console exclusive. It's friggin' Capcom.. Plus it's already coming to PC. Initial launch will be.. But give it six months to a year and SSFVTHDWINDOWSXBone will happen.
Oh, it might have been then. Since Wal-Mart and TRU were both still doing it I figured it was still the same promotion.
I'm hoping SFV comes to the X1. Always a big fan of SF. I used to play in tournaments back in the day (those were the days). I rocked Zangief and Guile in SF2. Never could keep up playing SF4 online. My reflects are a bit slower now and I never had time to play enough to get my old skills back.

this. hell, splinter cell conviction was a 3rd party exclusive and it never came to playstation. and just like it, it doesn't mean street fighter is going to be exclusive from here on out, but the fifth installment is not moving from this console.its never going to the X1 so if you really want to play it, buy a PS4 or hope you have a buddy that has one
people said the same thing about DR3 and almost 2 years later, it is still console exclusive to X1. Sony is co-developing SFV, not simply helping with publishing. Its not going to the X1 in a year. Neither Sony or Capcom are even being coy about it. Unlike other companies, they've been pretty clear about the excusivity here. Anyone that ignores that is in denial.
knowing the reason why rotr is exclusive, to me that was a worse deal than the sf5 exclusivity. sony is actually helping to fund sf5.as a PS4 owner, I of course am happy that SF V is console exclusive to the PS4.
but as a gamer in general, I think the SF V deal and the TR deal are pretty s****y.
it sucks that games that have been multiplat in the past are now suddenly going exclusive ( timed or full ).

well we do know that they were having some financial complications in the recent past. either way whatever the case, sony is putting their own money into the project.idk.....I still find it hard to believe that Capcom is/was in such dire straits that it couldn't fund its own flagship title itself and needed Sony's help.

in fact, i hear the case is the same for ffs7. so that "first on playstation" could mean coming later to PC but no xbone port.
they're publishing it. if they were funding development, i doubt it would be a timed exclusive like everybody says it is.true.
but isn't MS funding ROTR, too?

well even before any of this news came out, Capcom said they lacked the resources to make a next gen fighter back in 2013. They've made some bad decisions the past few years that left them in a bad place going into this current generation. Sometime after that, Sony swooped in to help port USFIV to the PS4 and allegdly thats when they made the arrangements to help fund and make SFV a reality

I think it's worth mentioning here that the literal truth of this statement has been called into question. It's very unlikely that Capcom could not gather resources for SFV, most likely they could have, but they would have to prioritize it over other large scale projects. No doubt, had Sony not come in, we would've eventually got SFV, just at a later date. There would have been a SFV, just like there will be a RE7. No matter what franchise Capcom will let die, they would have gathered the resources for those games.
And anyway, while I will agree it's looking unlikely that SFV will leave the PS4, I will say that you never say never. I still recall with Shinji Mikami said he'd cut his own head before RE4 went anywhere but the Gamecube. Not the exact situation, but like I said, never say never. Companies can get really creative when it comes to making money.
