Comics This is the X-Men's Manifest Destiny...

Pickles ain't afraid to touch me when I sleep, haha :p

I hate fairytale couples like Peter/MJ though.

Was that a negative comment about my Peter/MJ? I'll let that fly on account that I know they are very fairytale but at least they were INTERESTING which is something Scott and Jean hardly ever were. Sure they were cutesy, but interesting no. They never seemed like people that would be interested in one another in real life. I respect them as the ''first couple" of X-Men, but yeah. They would never work out in a real life scenario, same for Peter/MJ, but at least writers knew how to make them INTERESTING.

I'll also let it fly cause we are cool, Spoons, but that was a low blow man. A low blow. :p

Since when has Ali played the guitar?

Since when she has to play a role in the main X-storyline, and why they must show her as a rockstar everytime, because she certainly doesn't rock as far as I'm concerned. If they want to bring back old female characters, Marvel should have picked someone such as Psylocke.

What's really pissing me off about Dazzler's return to the X-Men is that Dazzler hasn't returned to the X-Men. Solicits and promo art have made such a big deal out of Dazzler's return, but she hasn't actually done anything. So far, she's popped up in Uncanny X-Men to perform some music in Oakland and visit Pixie in the X-Center's infirmary.

The editorial team went through all the trouble of nudging Simone Bianchi into designing a new costume for her, and she's been shown wearing it for no reason. "Oh, I'm going to visit that little pink-haired girl who got beat up. I'm going to slip into the brand new X-Men outfit just for this visit, without actually joining in the effort to track down the thugs who beat up this kid right outside of one of my shows."

You can tell when a character just doesn't need to be there when Karma's been shown doing more. Karma, people.

Maybe she's rusty in the X-Men stuff, the only thing she can slip into without trouble is the suit.:woot:

If Dazzler is going to slip into a costume for the sake of slipping into a costume, I insist that costume be blue with a yellow starbust on her chest.

Not silver and black with a silver starburst on her crotch. She's probably the first X-woman to wear a costume that says "don't bother looking above the waist. Everything you want is right here. POW!"

oh my god!

she should be doing something! but to be fair, how many covers has she been on?

i meant since she came back.

manic said something about her being on several covers and this is only the third one that i can remember.

Three = Several, when it comes to a character such as Dazzler.

haha yeah i suppose.

i just hope they make her do something to warrant a "return" she has to do something, otherwise...why, right? but marvel likes to do stupid things sometimes, so who knows.

id say she has potential though.

Dazzler = a terrible character. "Oh look I turn disco music into disco lights":whatever: jeez who thought of that one?

Out of all of the characters they could have brought back why her?

Daz bores me. She is more interesting in Ultimate. :(

She's boring to me too, but with the right writer, any character can be improved. Maybe they'll make her more interesting.

Yeah, Dazzler basically disappeared for a decade, and came back under Claremont's pen. We'd all think any character was lame if they made their triumphant return to the X-books in a post-2000 Claremont book.

Exactly...all we have to go by is his horrible New Excalibur run, which she was horrible.

Give the new writers a chance to work with her, and lets see how it goes. All we have seen of her under the new writers is her cheering Pixie up and doing a concert. Lets allow them to add some meat to those bones before we condemn her again. :p

X-Men: Manifest Destiny #3 will arrive in stores on Nov. 5 from Marvel Comics. The issue is written by Mike Carey and various, with art by Michael Ryan and various and a cover by Humberto Ramos.

Here's how Marvel describes the issue:

"Iceman continues his quest toward the West Coast and discovers something new about his powers. But is it enough to save his life from a friend turned foe? Plus stories featuring Colossus and a mysterious Young X-Man."

X-Men: Manifest Destiny #3 will be 48 pages and will cost $3.99.

Damn. Peter's unable to paint...

If the Ultimate universe hadn't already effectively made its own Colossus a junky, I'd joke around that he should smoke pot for inspiration.

Now Rockslide is being petulant again, I really really dislike this kid.
Though I think it's a nice touch that the writers remember that Colossus paints, even though he can't right now for some reason.
