funny. I remember a lot of complaining about the Germans in CATFA not speaking German with subtitles but English with accent instead. IIRC the general consensus was that subtitles were preferred because then CATFA wouldn't have been dumbed down.
I'm too lazy to search for all this posts but they are still around I guess.
edit:
found the old thread here http://forums.superherohype.com/showthread.php?t=334337
interesting how things change. MS decides to use English speaking Nazis, fans want subtitles. MS uses subtitles, fans want the Dark Elves to speak English

You're trying to apply a forum consensus to a single user.
Rock Sexton doesn't speak for everyone in the SHH forums.
Thank god. :word:

Man, I hope they have a lot of deleted scenes on the bluray

On my countrie's official Marvel page they revealed an easter egg: On Jane's apartment there is a partiture on her piano where you can read "Thor:The God of Thunder". Nothing big but still great.

I just watched it

Finally !!!!! lol

Overall, pretty good movie; decided not to watch it in 3D because I'm anti-3D.

As usual Loki was great, except in a few sequences where he was too goofy

Good action scenes, good humor (Selvig scenes, Loki reading a book while prisoners were fighting guards)

Loved the pretty boy Cameo as well, and Loki telling Thor "Now you see me" (in Thor and Avengers, he fooled him with his projection).

Renee Russo was great by the way

We saw more of Agard, Heimdall and we finally got to see Ygdrasyl

Now I'm left wondering if Loki killed Odin .... and Odil told Thor " we are not Gods; we live and die " ... kinda foreshadowing

As for the climax, I'm a bit disappointed with how easily Thor defeated Malekith.

But overall, very enjoyable movie.

NOW I can finally watch last week's episode of AOS :woot:

Glad you liked it. Just keep in mind that the connection between TDW and AOS is a very loose connection.

Funny, he didn't claim to speak for everyone. But why let a little detail like that stop you from trying to stir **** up?

You saw Yggdrasil at the end of Thor...see?

We saw I think a Tree the Asgardians CALL Yggdrasil, I don't see how it could be the actual Tree being so HUGE

Which country is that? :D Wonder if it was the comicbook. I missed that easter egg

The only one stirring **** up around here is you. Again. As usual.
Ever get tired of this gig, WT? Find somebody else to pick on. You're boring me with this.

you are right

Just watched the Well and It wasn't really close to TDW

And I think Coulson might be Asgardian

Son Of Coul :woot:

Then why are you singling out Rock for zero reason? He made one statement about the subtitles and all of a sudden here you are popping into the thread and accusing him of "speaking for everyone"? Yeah, you weren't trying to start anything, sam. Sure.

The comment was directed at R. Hythlodeus, genius. Rock had complained about the Dark Elves speaking in Fake Language with English subtitles; RH took that as a Hype consensus, and tried to contrast it with another (alleged) Hype consensus from an earlier thread complaining about CATFA's HYDRA speaking in English instead of subtitled German. I was pointing out to RH that Rock's complaint wasn't a consensus, just one opinion.

Try reading a post carefully before jumping somebody's **** for a change, how 'bout? It'll probably become a whole lot clearer.

I don't care if they speak English myself. I didn't care that the Kryptonians all spoke English in the Superman films, I didn't care that the various alien races in ST tended to know English, I didn't care that Red Skull and co spoke English either? The problem with the Dark Elves speaking in their own tongue is that its a cool idea in theory, but didn't work all that well in practice. It was hard to keep up with some (not all) or the scenes and try to read subtitles at the same time. It also robbed Malekith of his last chance to have anything even vaguely approaching something similar to a semi-interesting personality.

I'll be damned, so it was.

Too bad you couldn't resist throwing an insult in there though. Way to take the high road, champ. ;)

Yeah, you're right. The insult was something that Rock Sexton --- or you -- would do. Sorry I stooped to your level there, ace.

Haha :D Just a joke.

Thor -> Thor Odinson

Odin -> Odin Borson

Loki -> Loki Laufeyson

Phil Coulson -> Son of Coul? Who is the Coul? :D An asgardian? :D

Sam, is there a forum that you're NOT having a stupid fight on?

How many bones are in a whales neck?

12

Do whales have necks?

All animals with vertebrae have exactly seven cervical vertebrae (neck vertebrae.) Because whales have long necks, they just have seven long cervical vertebrae.

Dude I was joking.:funny: Besides those were not real whales.They were whale-looking aliens, doesn't mean they have the same anatomy as real whales.:o Chill bro.:cool:
