Hmm... Could be Thor and Hulk go find Fury to warn him about Thanos shennanigans at the end of the film? Thor left at the end of AOU to ostensibly find "answers" about his vision.

Wouldn't it be cool if that was one of the after credit scenes in Civil War.

Right now I'm more curious How Hulk hitches a ride with Thor or HOW Hulk/Banner gets to Asgard

From the original article:

A veteran of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Skull Island actor Samuel L. Jackson played Nick Fury in Iron Man, Iron Man 2, Thor, Captain America: The First Avenger, The Avengers, Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Avengers: Age of Ultron.

He’s tipped to join Hemsworth and Hiddleston on the Oxenford lot for Thor: Ragnarok.

His Skull Island casemates John C. Riley (Guardians of the Galaxy), Corey Hawkins (Iron Man 3) and British actor Toby Kebbell (Fantastic Four) have also enjoyed roles in Marvel movies that could bring them back to the Thor set.

:lmao:

Clearly the writer just lumps them all in as the same thing. I wouldn't even say Kebbell "enjoyed" his role in that "Marvel" movie.

Maybe Fury meet the street-corner hobos Odin :D

Thor could come to Earth looking for the Avengers, and then Fury informs him there are no Avengers anymore after Civil War.

Hopefully Lady Sif gets an expanded role.

She got more screentime in the two Agents of SHIELD episodes she appeared in than in the first two Thor movies.

I'd love to see more of the Sif and the other Asgardian Warriors. For some reason they're really entertaining.

The Sif stuff has been mishandled, but some of that is luck, with Alexander getting injured. Still... Even my grandmother figured out the obvious feelings Sif has for Thor in the first film. This needs to be expanded upon to my mind especially as they keep referring to it onAoS and they continued with teasing in TDW.

I like Sif (and the Warriors Three) but couldn't care about her and Thor having a romantic relationship. Carry on hinting Sif's feelings but I really don't care for them to hook up or it to 'develop'.

As with the parallel with Superman, I like this massively powerful character falling for a human woman.

(but not this version of Jane, for whom I didn't care much for)

Maybe they (Thor & Sif) will be forced into revealing their LOVE during battle. It seems like something that would happen to me.

Thing is if there is never some moment of this coming to a head in some way, if there is no pay off in any form, then why tease it so obviously at all?

I think one of the things that made the Winter Soldier such a great movie was they didn't bog the movie and Cap down by having an unecessary romance in there. It was an action packed political thiriller. They quickly addressed Peggy, had some Widow flirting.....and then got back to the meat of the story.
I think the trouble they have with Thor is they just have spent way to much time having him pine for Jane that it has slowed these movies down to crawl at times.
I say in this movie Thor's love should be Asgard!! That's what should shine through....he's fighting to save his people his home. Don't slow the movie down with a damsel in distress subplot.
Cap 2 didn't have it and Guardians of the Galaxy didn't have it (they both had flirting but didn't waste big minutes on romance). They were both successful using this formula and I hope Marvel uses it with Thor.
This should be a fun action adventure movie that has us on the edge of our seats from start to finish, let Thor go out with a bang, not a whimper !
Just my 2 cents.

There was no 'tease' imo. Sif loves him, Odin and Frigga thought she was a better match but Thor was having none of it.

If they do decide to 'resolve' the (one way) attraction, based on the past 4 films with Thor, it would be something like Thor telling Lady Sif to give the lingering looks (to him) and glares (to Jane) a rest because he ain't interested. Boom, resolved :D

Sorry but it's obvious in the first film, they continued in the second and they even allude to it with Sif's appearances in the SHIELD show.

Resolution doesn't even have to mean Thor makes a choice. Sif can die in Thor's arms and give him extra motivation after she declares her love openly. She could have a one on one conversation with Jane and we see she bows out gracefully. Another character could lay it all out for Sif that she's only hurting herself by carrying this torch. In any case this isn't some figment of the fans' imagination. They have highlighted it in a way even my 83 year old grandmother gets with no prior knowledge of the comic book Thor.

It's a Chekov's gun thing to my mind.

I agree it was obvious, and in that way, imo, not a tease. Anyway, we just disagree on it needing to be resolved, and nothing wrong with that.

Sif dying: "had I known death was all that was needed for you to hold me in your arms, I would have died millenia ago"
Thor: "like a sister to me you were.... wait, what!" *drops Sif*

It's obvious to everyone except Thor that Sif has feelings for him. I could actually see someone like Loki making a comment to Sif about how she's loitering around Thor waiting for Jane to die so that she can swoop in and "comfort" him. You know Loki's just saying it to get a reaction but Sif would be horrified that her honour is being called into question and that others might be perceiving her that way. It would prompt her to make a decision, either tell Thor how she feels even if he doesn't reciprocate or let him go no matter how hard she finds it.

Please no. Can we avoid really tired clichés like this? You're second option (her bowing out gracefully) would be much better imo.

But then they'd STILL have to show me WHY Thor is so completely into Jane, because thus far they've utterly failed to do that imo.

Why do we have to have forced romance? So tired of it.

I really hope that Ragnorak is book-ended by Thanos. In the beginning, he releases Surtur, and at the end he smashes the throne room, takes the other gauntlet and the space gem, kills Odin, and smashes Thor and Hulk.
And thousands of people come out of the theatre with the same refrain,"that's what I love about the Marvel movies, They are always so Cheerful!"

Doesn't have to be forced, it could be natural...or not at all. I dunno, but I havent seen a single superhero movie to date that didn't have some sort of romantic aspect no matter how insignificant and tiny,

Tbh, I liked Tony-Pepper and Cap-Carter so I guess it's not 'romance' I don't like, just 'crappy romance' :D

Do we have an idea of how Marvel has budgeted this thing? I think I speak for a lot of fans that would like this outing to be on the spectacular side.
