Thor: Ragnarok The Official News and Speculation Thread - - - - Part 13

That's exactly it.. THEY Did make her seem so uber powerful, even more so than both Thor AND odin combined.

I'm not really understanding this response. You said in your previous post that Hela tearing up the Destroyer would have been 'far fetched', yet here you're saying that she seemed more powerful than Odin? Those two things contradict each other, considering Odin was the most powerful Asgardian and could have easily taken down the Destroyer, it's his weapon. Like others have already said, Hela is not as powerful as Odin. If she was, Odin would not have been able to defeat and imprison her, and she would have broken out of her imprisonment much earlier. The power of Odin was the only thing that was keeping her imprisoned. The implication was there that she could have become as powerful as Odin eventually, but she never could have been more powerful than him while he was alive.

Yeah. "Your savioourrr is heeeerreee"

Love that moment. :funny: Loki was wonderfully in character in Ragnarok, he was great fun.

Case in point, some people were disappointed Loki didn't do anything evil while on the throne, except...we know he just wanted it to be equal to Thor. From Thor, from Avengers, from The Dark World. Like Stark said:

'...And Loki, he's a full-tilt diva, right? He wants flowers, he wants parades. He wants a monument built to the skies with his name plastered...'
I immediatelt
It was totally in character. He never even really wanted Odin or Thor dead.

I immediately thought about this line when I saw the statue)))
If Loki survives IW (which I doubt), I'd like to see him as "space adventurer" type like he was in Sakaar.

Saw this on Tumblr. Pretty awesome stuff.

Damnit.

So we almost got to see The Destroyer again? Man that would've been great. I love when these non-heroes battle (ex. like Hela vs. Surtur).

Aside from being a pretty great movie on its own, Ragnarok also elevates the other movies with new insights and great callbacks.

I wish Thor Ragnarok took a chance to comment on those dodgy train directions from Thor the Dark World. It would've been the perfect time.

In T:TDW he asked a passenger on the Tube how to get to Greenwich. The woman told him to take this train three stops. He got on at Charring Cross. He would've ended up nowhere near Greenwich and was even on the wrong line.

In Ragnarok he could've commented that some woman gave him the wrong directions and he ended up somewhere else and then had to navigate the London Underground on his own.

But they probably didn't think of that because they didn't even realise it was the wrong directions so they wouldn't remember.

You can call them baddies ;)

Apparently Screen Junkies is coming out with a Thor Ragnarok Honest Trailer.
Can't wait to see what they have done with it.:yay:

Well, I tried to start a revolution, but didn't print enough pamphlets so hardly anyone turned up.

Tomorrow at 10AM Pacific it is main event time - #ThorRagnarok #HonestTrailer.

So.....you are saying you have never watched a movie in your life? Movies are not documentaries that try to get every precise detail right. Movies are entertainment that do things for fun or convenience. Very few things in movies are "correct".

Yeah, I had no idea the directions were wrong. Also don't care.

Ordered my copy from Best Buy today so will be getting it sometime next week. Gives me more time to get through some of my MCU marathon.

:funny:

I totally lost it when [BLACKOUT]they did the 'Starring...' bit at the end and showed a shot from the film of a piece of garbage falling into a huge pile of garbage and the voiceover says 'the current state of the DCEU'...[/BLACKOUT] :lmao:

I'm watching it regularly at the moment. Can't get enough!

Never noticed how Thor stopping Surtur from his exposition-heavy dialogue was a subversion of exposotion itself. Huh.

Could Loki not take out the Warrior’s Three? At least one at a time. Especially after they went out so easily (apart from Hogun).

That was a great dig and well deserved. I laughed too... :woot:

I doubt it, who's to say he wouldn't be one shot by Hela as well. Valkyrie would've been killed had it not been for Thor's being involved in the Hela fight and she TROUNCED Loki easily.

Not to mention they seemed more impressive in the Frost Giant battle in the first Thor.

It's one of the best Honest Trailer vids I've seen for a while, the Ragnarok HISHE vid was awesome too. Talking of awesome vids, have you guys seen this:

The Lonely Island were asked to do a demo for a musical number to be performed at the Oscars and they came up with the above which is a parody about how blockbusters and genre films don't get nominated for the big awards. Unfortunately it didn't end up being chosen for the ceremony, but it's hilarious and there are lots of Ragnarok references in it.

Pennywise. :woot: And 'I heard a lady boned a fishman' :lmao:

Speaking of Loki and the Warriors Three, I'm surprised he didn't banish them while he was disguised as Odin like he did with Heimdall and Sif. Especially since they saw through his bull**** in the first movie.

Hogun went out with style. Don’t know why they couldn’t have given an ending like that to the others too. If Loki could be taken out by the Three it makes the threat of the first Avengers film seem pretty tame given that the Chitauri could be taken out by your local rugby team and mall cops. :woot:
