[BLACKOUT]Is it true Lois talks about dick sizes and tinkling?[/BLACKOUT]

I think people are kidding themselves when they say "oh no, teh critics don't matter." Bull****.

You can enjoy the movie, regardless. Don't get me wrong on that. But, let's be real, obviously the critics matter.

This movie will have a good opening, no doubt. But if it's got bad reviews and the GA doesn't mess with it, it loses its legs and just becomes another entry in a long list of superhero flicks.

I don't think WB will immediately reboot MOS (I think those concerns are wayyy premature and unnecessarily paranoid). But, if the GA's reactions are similar to critics (as I'm sure they will be to a large degree, despite what posters insist here), then expect some discussions to occur about MOS2's status.

I'm not saying it's dead in teh water, but WB may fall onto their cashcow and turn MOS2 into a Worlds Finest. It wouldn't be the worst, but I see WB becoming really really dependent on Batman. And, of course, WW and Flash would be pushed back even further along with any JL.
If that is really the case, what can we do about it? Cry a river?
I would buy the blue ray n enjoy my last superman movie. Because justice has finally done for superman.

After waiting 7 years for another Superman film to come along, are some of you really going to let a faceless person's opinion on the internet sway your decision of whether or not to watch the movie ? If so, that's just stupid. Make up your own mind after seeing it, but don't let anyone put you off from seeing it. You know what they say about opinions ...

Your opinion is only valid if you show your face whilst giving it. Your opinion is the only one that matters. EVER. You are the smartest person in the world. There is nothing you can EVER learn from anyone else. :whatever:

I think it goes without saying- "Make up your own mind".

Do you remember what she says exactly?

Not exactly but the gist is:

She gets into the military camp by skirting some laws and they are giving her a hard time. She says, "Are we done measuring dick sizes now/Is this pissing contest over?"

1. I thought the sequel was already greenlit. So all this talk of just batman seems kinda odd.

2. I believe a good portion of the higher end of the all time BO list is comprised of films that weren't really sitting pretty on the RT charts.
Hard to say where MoS will fall on critic's opinion alone, in the past the GA has given dick all concern about that group. It seemingly always came down to how much of a good time the films were. This accounts for ID4 to Avatar right through to Air bender and GL.

In a few days time we'll probably have a good idea if this film is as horrid as some critics(and posters) feel it is.

men lie women lie, numbers don't as Jay Z like to say.

Sequels get greenlit all the time. Doesn't guarantee they get made. Look up Superman Returns, Batman Triumphant or Green Lantern 2 for starters.

I think the BO will be good enough for a sequel. If this somehow bombs in the BO I'd be surprised.

Dunno how many casual movie goers would see the RT score and change their mind on seeing it.

I gotta agree with Poni. In the case with SR they said if it reached the number that it actually DID there would be a sequel. Obviously that did not happen.

I'm hoping it doesn't get beaten by Now This Is The End, I wanna see that one too but the critics are just going way overboard on saying how funny and shocking the movie is.

I mean c'mon I don't think fattie Seth Rogen can hold a candle to MOS.

Superman Returns is the prime example of how a movie can meet all preset expectations studio expectations to garner a sequel and have the studio balk when the checks have to be cut.

Didn't Goyer say if the movie didn't perform well WB would not do a DC cinematic universe?

Green Lantern, The Flash, and Wonder Woman will never work as their comic incarnations onscreen so I not interested in a Justice League film.

That's very pessimistic. I disagree on all counts...

Yeah just like Thor wouldn't work or Captain America or Hulk............oh wait.

Goyer says a lot of things. Few of which I give credence to. He's the Hollywood version of Mark Millar.

DC needs to get their **** together. Like, right now.

I don't think a Hulk solo movie would work nowadays. Nor do I want to see them attempt one again. They found the magic of the character in The Avengers. Don't fix what ain't broke.

Considering my lukewarm feelings on Man of Steel (still need to see it again), TDKR, and Green Lantern. I don't think I want a Justice League movie. At least not until DC proves they know what they're doing.

Rupert Wyatt directing Emily Blunt in a Wonder Woman film.

Rian Johnson directing Bradley Cooper in a Flash film.

Duncan Jones directing Idris Elba in a Green Lantern film.

Interested. I definitely be interested.

Film Green Lantern needs to be Hal Jordan.

I remember there were back and forth "arguments," if you can even call it that between Singer and WB. Where WB didn't greenlight the sequel because it make 100 mil less than what they had expected and called it a failure in that regard. Bryan Singer thought it was moronic to call a 450+mil return on Superman Returns unsuccessful and thought he did really well for the most part. Nevertheless, WB had the final say, and that was that.
