It's going to go back up.

No doubt about it.

Right now there's Foreign Markets, Women and and reviewers stuck in the past throwing their reviews in.

And while we can complain about positive reviews giving it rotten tomatoes - there are reviews that are rotten giving it fresh tomatoes. IE: Devin from badassdigest ripped the film apart for a majority - but still gave it fresh.

Road goes both ways. Just hold steady and stay the course kids - we'll be back on track. There's no way this flick flies below 80%.

PS: (Edit) - That's not discriminatory - or at least not intended to be - towards foreigners or women. The pro-american themes don't bold well other places and there's a lot of women reviewers who emptily claim their fame as speaking for women and basically crap on action movies because it's the knee-jerk reaction.

Problem is with reviews is that as someone else said on another MOS thread, we all take away different things from movies, us fans will probably eat up the massive action, but to someone else, it will be too much, or too loud, or too superficial. Most of the reviews say that the movie has a lot of heart, and yet, the last ones published say it has no heart.

Different strokes for different people. I know I have movies like Silver Linings Playbook, or Perks Of Being A Wallflower or Warrior in my top 5, movies that activate something within me when I see those, very personal stuff, and yet, those movies are absolutely unremarkable for many others.

Critics are overrated, in an ideal world, nobody should give a shi t about them and decide on their own and of their own free will to see a movie or not.

Except this is reality. I'm hoping for it to go about at least an 80 in the end, but right now i'm expecting 60 - 75.

If the GA like this movie that's all that matters. It will make lots of money from that. You don't make money from Critics nip picking what they aren't happy with. Most of the negative review that I read on RT make no sense. Some call it a Modern Blockbuster and call it rotten, other weren't happy that the S doesn't stand for Superman and it's means hope and cannot let go of the old Reeve Sup so they call it rotten... People Lois gave the name Superman to Kale-El... People need to really move on from the old Reeve Superman. I for one cannot even watch that old movie anymore... I like it for it's time but can move one. GA will speak for itself come this Friday... We'll know the truth than.

BTW... score isn't everything... Avatar had 83% and is the highest grossing film all time... MOS can achieve this with or without these rating... which means nothing at the BO.

MOS has more story, talent, and acting than Avengers. I dont have to like Avengers to like MOS. I am a SUPERMAN fan if you cant tell by my username. I called Avengers like i saw it, doesnt mean I didnt enjoy it. I simply said that for critics to bash MOS over story but applaud Avengers is ridiculous.

Have you seen MoS? Critiques on story are based on context of the movie, not based on how deep/serious it is. Reviewers are way less biased than you're being.

Not to mention, if we wanna get technical about it - it already has. It was at 71, and a new review came in and it bumped up to 72%.

This is why I didnt predict a billion for MoS. Too many folks are stuck in the past still longing for donner's version, ie, camp, comedy, whatever..
I think MoS will do very good at the BO tho, 700 millish, and get its sequel.
Some may not even see it until the DvD/Blu ray is released, ala BB, and kick theirselves for not seeing it on the bigscreen.
By the time this all ends, Folks will be more than ready for the sequel. Thats when we'll see a billion.

I never expected high on RT. 85 was a guess and I thought that was too high. It might get up to 80. and the overall rating is what you want to look at. Example WWZ 6.1 rating and yet an 80 RT score. Reason #1 has 3 or 4 3/5 ratings pushed positive. Man of Steel has B- a C+ and 3 3/5 scores pushed negative, plus after reading village voice Stephanie's review, it was a mixed review and she could have gone either way. I am ok with the 3/5 being negative. But this B- as rotten, well it is up to the reviewer but why not give it a C. I guess he expected an A and was disappointed with a B- so he gave it a rotten score?

I agree he should watch MOS before critiquing anything. When I conduct my review Avengers will be the film I compare it to and I will also be analysing various critics reviews of both films. Not fair you should give one film a pass over something yet pull another up on the same thing, come Friday I will know.

the movie has 23 positive reviews and only 9 rotten. Not all of the rotten are story driven. Some people love lackluster films and dont like all the action. if it didnt have action they would still hate it. You cannot please some people. I get the sense you are way to into this movie flopping. Sorry to get your hopes up but it wont

People need to chill , stop worrying about reviews and simply know that this is a Zack Snyder movie (penned by david goyer).

It will be a well shot , framed spectacle , with some nice action sets and that hodgepodge sort of pacing his movies always suffer. For people expecting some mindless fun , with hazardous editing , badly shot ,extremely colorful , with a quip in every sentence...they will be disappointed. For people expecting a more serious , dramatic and balanced approach to the Superman myths , from man aspiration to achieve an higher status of power , or the struggles that arise from the flows of immigration , etc , they will also be disappointed.

Snyder is pretty consistent in his filmmaking. Some people enjoy his style , some people don't.
