Hardy ain't short...5'9 and a 1/2 is the average male height in America. With lifts and forced perspective and subtle digital alterations, he can look down on Bale easily.

In this pic, all these guys range from 5'9-6'1 and from this angle they all seem around the same height.

In fact, uneven surfaces on set would be an even easier way to make Hardy a larger man.

well. so far. i think bane will look good onscreen, but i really feel like we have been spoiled here.

as far as bane's size, i think bane will be a man with a mask who leads the chaos, batman fights him and owns him in battle, and just when we think its over bane pumps up and breaks batman. no when where and how it happens. we will have to wait a year. to find out.

but i still hope bane looks badass on screen. right now he looks like a g.i joe villian.

Yo! Let's not make this a fanboy thing. Nolan is a god and everything he does cannot fail. You don't say "Hey, you're just a fanboy of God/Nolan!" No, you worship him because he created you.

All kidding aside, we're either getting a Bane equal to Batman's height or a Bane 3-4 inches taller than Batman.

If we get a Bane equal to Batman's height, I will look at it this way: it's faithful to the comics in the sense that it captures his regular height without venom injections. It's a metaphor for the series:

Venom (6'8)=Fantasy comics
No venom (6'0-6'4)=Quasi-Realistic films

Wasn't Bane's height 5'8 in the comics before venom. I swear that's what I read in Arkham Asylum, the game.

Nice. Really liked the way it slowly built up to that fast-paced sequence at the end. Kudos to the person who made this.
