I actually love Batman Begins more than TDK. Not by much, but I really do.

And of course Mask of the Phantasm trumps both.

Agreed. MOTP is the best Batman movie of all time, Batman Begins is the best live action Batman movie of all time.

"Some of the lines in TDK worked perfectly in a fast paced trailer but came off very stilted in the actual movie.

"Then you're gonna love me"

"...live long enough to see yourself become the villain"

Thank you for pointing that out and its soo true. In the trailer the "you're gonna love me" line was clear and understandable. In the movie, they seemed to have sped up the line so you almost miss. Also I felt Gordon's line about "no name, no other alias" had a lot more weight to it then the delievery in the movie. The part that bugged me the most (that was omitted from the movie) was the shot of the joker from behind, slowly walking up the street to batman who was laying on the street after the bike crash. I just thought it was almost shot like a horror movie and thought it was fantastic. Such a shame it wasn't in the movie, as the knife toss behind his hands was not as menacing.

I agree, I was really pumped for the "your gonna love me" line in the trailer and was even saying it to myself to pump while working out but in the film it seemed to whisper by. And that knife shot was so more epic.

Thanks doobie. So glad others saw that. They should have hired whoever did the editting for the trailer for the film! lol

Does anyone have or have access to the interview of Tom just after Bronson were he talks about how much he'd love to work on the new Batman franchise and with Christian Bale? I thought it was on the Brosnon extras but its not on my dvd :csad:

Yeah, 18 threads of Hardy as Bane. That's ridiculous.

Mask of the Phantasm is really great. But for me personally I prefer live-action movies so much that I'd put TDK, BB and BR over it without hesitation.

I would love more feature length Batman animations. It is the most obvious way to adapt a comic book, really. It would be great to see animations based on seminal comic book artists styles.

I used to think that way, but I really didn't enjoy Year One like I thought I would. For whatever reason, straight adaptations, without any sort of ingenuity, is tantamount to basically a prettier form of a motion comic for me. Likewise, Under the red hood had just enough of a difference to it that made it somewhat necessary viewing, IMO

I largely agree. Now animated films with original stories is a prospect I can get behind.

Which is actually what I meant. I don't need to see "The Long Halloween" in motion, but I would love to see some original Batman adventures, animated and based on Tim Sale's drawings.

I'd be totally up to that. But I would be lying if I said I didn't want to see a TLH animated film.

You know I've been thinking about the potential fo Bane being in the League of Shadows and how they come into play, and it's starting to make sense more and more. I'll wait until I see the film, but I'm being swayed into the idea greatly. It seems to make the most sense right now, even though I don't know much about Bane and his backstory or motivation, which I don't want to know yet. But in terms of the League of Shadows, they wouldn't just disappear after BB. Gotham is too huge of potential to just leave a lone. Especially after Batman. Along with the Joker and Dent. The League will want to wipe it out even more.

Some of us have been talking about this potential scenario for ages spanning to some time back, and in turn were only ridiculed for it.

i'm not sure i want to see the dark knight returns or the long hallowee as animated movies. Because Year One was really bland. I liked it, because i like year one, but the movie itself added nothing. It was soulles. Sam Liu shouldn't make animated movies anymore, because his all star superman was also really bland.

I guess you'll get your wish, because he's working on Green Lantern: The Animated Series now.

I dread thinking about Loeb's awful dialogue being spoken. **shudders**
