Supergirl Tyler Hoechlin IS Superman

Is it that Tyler Hoechlin has a better head of hair, or just a better hairstyle in general, or is it that Snyder never wanted Cavill to have the classic S curl? Why is Cavill's always so gelled back or stiff? Or is his hair too curly compared to Hoechlin?

Tyler seems to be able to pull off the classic Superman hairstyle with ease.

I think his butt is a fine conversation piece..... ;)

I agree. IF we get a action figure of his Superman, I sure hope that the sculptor does their job properly and captures all of Superman's ... curves.

And that the action figure has a removable cape to fully appreciate the sculpt.

I think Hoechlin has a slightly better head of hair, but for the most part I put it on styling, something like this would probably look a lot better on Cavill's Supes:

I think this is a GREAT representation of how good Cavill's hair can look if done right

With a detachable cape......for sure......LMAO :sly:

I guess people could never see a WW wearing blue tights. DC now has a direction for WW. A cross between Captain America and a gladiator. How much of that blueprint would make it to TV is anyone's guess.

Edit: Oh hey the pilot is on Dailymotion. Never thought is was public. Watching it now lol.

Edit 2: That pilot wasn't all that bad. That short fight sequence near the end was better than anything Kara has done fight wise in season 1. It was like a piece of Daredevil from Netflix. DD sets the bar for me. So well done. The CW should give WW another try. As with any superhero show, more action less useless drama works best for me.

Watched some of it. Started to yawn. I can see why it didn't get approval. About the only thing I liked about it was how lonely she was at the end. Everything else just seemed phoned in...

so just to have a little fun until more news or pics show
Up , if Superman were to get a spin off then who would you cast in supporting roles ? Who would be your Lois, Perry, The Kents, Lex ?

You know there's a problem when the actor playing James Olsen is just as hunky as Superman.

Is this Superman going to save cats in trees and be the champion of little kids like the Christopher Reeve version? Even Supergirl seems to be that kind of hero here, so I would hope Superman is more like that than the remote and transcendent figure that Henry Cavill is who seems detached from humanity.

The digs at Cavill are getting old, end of the day it us a different version of the sane character. Cavil's is a Superman who is quite clearly still a rookie whereas Tyler's Superman we know has been doing this for a long time.

James still looks bigger built though. They ought to dress Tyler in tops more similar to what Mechad is wearing to show off his physique.

And I think Mechad is slightly slouching in those photos. If he were to stand up straight he'd dwarf Tyler.

I'm not sure if he was entirely sane. :o

"It's not an ass. On my world it means hope."

"Nice ass."

Those are the quotes that'll be on the back of the toy box.

I'm actually completely fine with Tyler looking the way he does. I really don't think they need to dress him in clothing that better show off his physique. He's Clark Kent. The less imposing he looks, the better I think.

I am so incredibly excited about seeing Superman on Supergirl. I really hope he ends up crossing into one of the other shows eventually.

I reckon we won't see him on Supergirl again right away after his two episodes appearance but wouldn't be shocked if he came back for the finale of season 2.

You beat me to it

a nice suit jacket (something with some shoulder pads) maybe even an over coat, would probably have helped in these shots to make him look bigger compared to Jimmy (still not bigger then him ,but it would have framed him out better)... and gave him more of a classic Clark look

I know it seems like its probably to warm out for that (with their sleeves rolled up and such) but still

I love his look, that is actually what I'm attracted to more so than those that wear tight fitting sweaters, and too many buttons unbuttoned on their button down. So, I'm fine with how they are dressing Clark. Mehcad looks great in that picture as well....sometimes I wonder if he can breath in some of the jeans they have put him in.... :(

I wouldn't have minded if they dressed him like how Dean Cain was dressed in Lois and Clark. He still managed to look well built even as Clark whatever he was wearing, but particularly in his suit for work.

Next to Jimmy, I feel that Clark is looking more like Winn.

At least they have the hairstyles the right way round this time. With Dean Cain, Clark had the S curl and Superman had the slicked back hair.

But Lois and Clark recast Jimmy after the first season because they thought the original actor looked too similar to Dean Cain. They could've recast Mechad Brooks for Season 2 of Supergirl and got a smaller black guy.

As Clark Kent the reporter though, isn't he trying to hide his physique somewhat? He's not meant to appear amazing muscular to everyone, unlike his Superman guise, he's trying to be low-key.

I'm looking forward to seeing Superman on the show. It's giving me a boost to see the show. But I don't want all of his supporting characters too. Just Superman.

Not really. He wears a pair or glasses to hide his face.

People just assume he's a big dumb farm boy.
