Not really. He wears a pair or glasses to hide his face.

People just assume he's a big dumb farm boy.

It depends what version, but even in Byrne's Man of Steel or Birthday he tried to hide his physique with baggy clothes etc. It's never just been the glasses, it's about how he presents himself aswell.

In every version i've seen he just wears glasses.

so which one is Jimmy and which one is Clark?? :o

but seriously, just how tall is Mechad?? :wow:

Mehcad Brooks, I believe, is 6'2". Hoechlin is listed as 6'1".

(Veering off topic a bit, being a bit of a short person myself, anyone over 6' is going to be tall in my eyes. ;) :D)

So you've never seen Superman the Movie or Superboy TV series. You've never read a Superman comic?

I have and he literally just wears glasses. His physical appearance isn't really brought up.

^ thanks.

yeah, that's tall, lol.

but I certainly don't mind Superman is shorter. ;)

If you really think about it, it doesn't make sense that a Kryptonian on earth would be buff. If anything he should be scrawny; how could he build any muscle mass in an environment where he encounters practically zero physical resistance?

If you really think about it, it doesn't make sense. Period. Any of it.

bc he's not human. You are applying human physics to him. I always assumed his Kryptonian physiology gives him his physique. His appearance just comes naturally. There are people like this, that do little to no working out. That doesnt automatically make them scrawny or the other extreme, fat. Some are just blessed with the right genetics

You mean the user-edited IMDb where actors (and their agents) list themselves that used to have Joss Whedon at 6'4"?

Yeah. Nice try.

Actually, you have to go through a process in order to edit on IMDB...but...I think we can assume that he is between 6'2" and 6'4"....I go by where he is in regards to Melissa who is 5'8" pretty much everywhere, and he is a good head taller than her....which is around 8" to 10" taller. That is easy enough to gauge when they are standing next to each other, without her standing on a box...which happens quite often. ;)

BTW, here they say 6'3" so I'll just take the average.... :woot:

Looking at Kara's dad, and Kal-El's dad in the Pilot, he seems to be right with their height etc....which is how he would naturally be on Krypton, unless he worked out on Krypton and I guess he could buff it up there, but since he left as a baby, seems to me he would grow just as they did normally....and we have Clark.

I know that the comics have had him EXTREMELY BUFF at times, but I like this more normal look for him.

The you know you're wrong Superman the movie he slouches, he wears bigger clothes. In the comics many times it's been brought up about his appearance and what he wears.

When Clark was a lad, he ate 4 dozen eggs every morning to help him get large.

Now that's Clark is grown, he eats 5 dozen eggs so that now he's roughly the size of a BARGE!!

:oldrazz:

lol, okay.

Go watch Superman the Movie Lois even tells him he doesn't stand up straight, he even stands up straight when he's about to tell her before changing his mind.

In Birthright, when discussing the disguise with Ma and Pa. Ma Kent tells him to dress with baggy clothes because you can see his abs through his shirt.

Some examples

Seen as though you think it's just a pair of glasses may I advise you purchase some so you can see how wrong you were.

One of the best scenes in SUPERMAN THE MOVIE is when Clark was about to tell Lois that he was really Superman....he straightens himself out of the slouch that he has had everytime he was dressed as Clark and adds several inches to his height and looks more "commanding" with his straight posture.

I guess Clark never goes to the beach or wears tee shirts and shorts then. lol

I think he just has an extreme metabolism and he's hungry......

And this ain't Beauty and the Beast.....yeah....yeah.....Gaston reference..... :sly:

Not in the Reeves movies. In the LOIS AND CLARK series there was an early episode where Lois walks in on Clark with his shirt off and sees his muscles....it's one of the things that starts her suspecting he is Superman.

That isn't a problem with Tyler, because he is ripped....
