He does not look good at all. His head looks too big for his body and as if it's weighing him down.

Yeah but they look more ridiculous on George Reeves's body because he's not in the best shape and the suit material doesn't look great. It would look different on a more muscular body type and if the material were different.

Nobody is using the Reeves costume as an argument against the trunks.

I can take or leave trunks on this new suit. Trunkless can look good as evidenced by MOS

But it'd be nice to see a version of the classic suit, with the SG suit materials

I don't think it will look like the New 52 suit in any meaningful way. It will probably end up being a pretty straightforward Superman suit that just happens to lack trunks and everyone will be like "OMG IT LOOKS JUST LIKE THE NEW 52 SUIT" and I'll roll my eyes. The MoS suit took nothing from the N52 suit except for being trunkless and people were saying that.

The person that does the costuming, etc....for SG seems to enjoy melding the classic with the new, so it will be interesting to see what she comes up with...

I think the New 52 costume is great - and not just because it has no skirt! I like the way the cape attaches and becomes a crossed-over collar. The absence of a skirt seems more adult rather than teenager.

But then there's the new Rebirth costume. Closer to the Benoist Supergirl and with a more classic flare.

I have to say, as long as they stay away from bare mid-drifts and have a good cape, I'm happy!

I love the suit as is, and haven't really been a fan of the New 52 suit. I think the suit as is...is feminine and sophisticated. AND...it is a suit for all ages and genders.

I believe the Rebirth suit is totally taken from the show, and Coleen Atwood gets the pat on the back for that...main difference of course is the crest on the cape.

Maybe, but I don't really see a need for it. I can wait for episode 1. I would however like to get some insight into whether or not they are making any changes to Supergirl's suit.

They may not at SDCC, but I think it is very possible that we will see a pic of the two together in their suits before the premiere date. Quite possibly in a BTS short like they did with the first day of filming last year. That would be cool....
