Uncharted Uncharted 4: A Thief's End

I got the Uncharted bundle for Christmas. So excited to finally play this!

You will not be disappointed, my friend! ;)

Is anyone else experiencing long black screens with this game since the latest update? I plugged in Uncharted 4 since a long time and the game requested me to update the PS4. Now the game shows a black screen for about 10 minutes each time I for example click to play Survival, or Multiplayer and so on.

I play everyday and havent

over 8 million copies sold. this is the best selling uncharted game and possibly one of the best selling Ps4 games to date

I haven't noticed any issues with loading screens.

Really enjoying this game so far. I've only been able to play a handful of times (tough to find enough spare time with kids) and I'm just now about halfway through Chapter 8.

It's good for sure but is it just me or are there more cutscenes and longer cutscenes than the previous installments? I've found myself sitting there waiting to start actually playing the game--I think they've gone a bit too far with the 'it's just like a movie.' lol. I hope it picks up a bit more as I continue.

The game is like 16 hours compared to 10 from the last installment. There is definitely more to watch here

Yeah the pacing/tone is different, you can tell there are differents creative minds behind this game compared to the first 3 entries. I saw many people not liking it but I personally loved it. The second half definately picks up though, you should get it shortly.

 Good to know.

Though I am appreciating the work that has gone into the cuts, and I'm a sucker for the nostalgia that they're tapping into.

You'll still get lots of cutscenes and exploration while also getting big set-pieces and gunplay. I found it very interesting how they paced the story/gameplay elements in the game.

I'm through Chapter 10 about to start 11 and still enjoying the game very much. I don't have much time to play however I'm going through it slowly and trying to get as many trophies that I can now before the first of several replays, lol.

I've 100% completed the trophies for the past 3 Uncharted games so I think I'll just continue on with that tradition in this one. Anyone else go for the 100% with Uncharted? I don't normally do that with every game but with this series I do...the games are so good and replay value is high so I figure I'm playing it anyway, might as well do everything I can.

I just picked up a few more trophies with my last play session yesterday. Most recent was the Hangman Bullets. That was fun.

people put way too much stock into the ratings. It likely wont matter anyway as that film likely wont be made+

.

Well the games have a lot of death, action, mayhem and are intense. Plus, Uncharted 4 is rated M.

But what they think the script would be rated and what the film will actually be rated are two different things. This will probably end up rated PG-13 and hacked to **** in editing because of a ****** editor or a bunch of studio execs and focus group notes.

Interesting read. I think the writer is coming from a decent place with his angle for the script. One thing that I'm not sure about is his thought that they curse all the time. None of their cursing is R rated in the games and Nathan doesn't curse like a sailor all the time; he really only curses as an exclamation when something crazy happens. I don't know, I could be reading into that comment more than I should.

Finally finished the game. I completed it on moderate difficulty and got most of the trophies in the 1st play through--I think I'm at 76% earned. I also found a little over 80 of the treasures on my own...not too bad, I guess. Already started my next run through the game this time on Crushing and I'm using a guide to locate the remaining treasures. I should have the game completed at 100% with maybe just the Speedrun trophy and Shot Accuracy trophy remaining.

For the game itself, I loved it. Great all the way around except for maybe the slow pacing in the beginning and it being so 'cut scene/cinematic heavy.' I see why they did that as in the end it had a good payoff however in the moment, it was a bit too much. The epilogue sold it for me. Fantastic ending. Overall, UC4 is probably #2 for me in the series. UC2 is still my favorite.

New MP update coming tomorrow

http://blog.us.playstation.com/2017...player-new-mode-weapons-and-more-on-march-17/

I wish they would add MP trophies though. New heroes too bc the villans outnumber them. Joel and Ellie wouldnt be a bad idea

i play the multiplayer practically every day. even today on my lunch break i remote played it

i never really play anything outside of deathmatch and bounty hunter. my friend and i were about to start plunder but realized that it was taking a while and there weren't even that many people in the lobby

Plunder is boring and people rarely play it as much as the others. Its harder to find a match and I only bother with it if it shows up on my Challenge. Command was my favorite until Bounty Hunter was released and now thats what I primarily play. Co-Op was alright but got old fast. They need to add more modes to that such as the Adventure mode from UC3

i don't count survival as coop. it's just waves, there's no actual story that goes along with it like the coop missions uncharted 2 had.

unless that's what coop was like in uncharted 3, then that's just what it turned into. but if i'm not mistaken it had but survival and coop

Well it is co-op bc you are working cooperatively with other players. Its not co-op Adventure/objective but it is a co-op mode. Naughty Dog refers to it as co-op bc thats what it is. UC2 had this same exact mode, except they called it Co-Op Arena, which Survival fell under (in addition to Gold Rush and Siege)

FYI UC3 had several Co-Op modes. They were Co-op Adventure, Co-op Arena, Co-op Shade Survival and Co-Op Hunter Arena. UC4 is lacking in that it only has one

it is cooperative yeah. what i was looking for was coop adventure or whatever it used to be called in uncharted 2.

I just realized I found the old source you were looking for; I must've taken the screenshot after ND responded but I swear the response said "in his 40s now"
