The Dark Knight Rises What Do You NOT want to see in Batman 3?

No way. He's made of cardboard.

He's one of Batman's deepest villains. He has a tragic background, is severely obsessive, extremely clever, ruthless and cunning.

He's actually one of Batman's greatest villains, IMO.

Yes he is, he's just never been done properly.

I loved TAS, but I feel even that was way light on Penguin (and Riddlers) potential.

Whilst I dont agree with The Riddler, I do think The Penguin has NEVER been adapted entirely properly. Not even in TAS.
He's not a freakish birdman. He's a fixer, a go-between. An information broker with a taste for the finer things, who just happens to have a thing for birds.

The real Penguin would be incredibly easy to adapt.

The Dark Knight "armour"
A "Batboat" or" bat-plane"
Aunt Harriet

I myself is a firm believer that Nolan and Goyer have bigger imaginations than to use The Riddler and Catwoman. Two villains which have been done to death and is such a blatantly obvious choice for villains to use that its not even funny.

* A murderous Riddler.
* A repentant Batman.
* A morally compromised Jim Gordon.
* A Bat bra.

So I made a thread like this for the upcoming Green Lantern movie a while ago and it's going okay. Thought I'd do the same for the next Batman flick.

Here goes...

Another love interest.

The Tumbler (It's had it's time and it had a great last scene but it's time for a proper Batmobile)

The TDK underground base of operations... Batman belongs in the Batcave.

Batman killed off... ****ing ridiculous idea.

GO!

I agree with the love interest, but that's something almost certain we will have. And it will most likely be Catwoman. Which I don't want to see.

I don't want any super-powered villains, even though I like Clayface. Isn't he a cop?!

What is with this hatred of The Penguin? He's a pretty unique character that can easily be adapted into a Nolan film. I'd rather see him than Black Mask.

I really hope they keep the cheesiness to a minimum in this next film. BB had a few moments that have now become notorious, and even though TDK trimmed a lot of that kinda thing out, the SWAT guy that was riding with Gordon was so corny and over the top that I wanted to strangle him. I consider him to be worse than any of that stuff that was in Begins, and he totally took me out of the film the first time I was watching it in the theater. I don't mind a little comic relief here and there, but if there's anything like that SWAT guy in the next film, I will be pissed. :cmad:

I'm the opposite. I hated all the little cornball moments in BB, like "Nice coat" and "Finders keepers", but didn't notice TDK's corny moments at all.

Wait, I take that back. The guy picking his teeth or whatever who had has car hit was kind of weird.

Batman growling. :down:

much like the scene where Wayne shows Foxx sketches of a new Batsuit, i think we need a scene of Wayne coming to Foxx with a soar throat... "i need a way to hide my voice without ripping my throat apart and looking constipated."

Ditto. Although the SWAT guy with Gordon was an annoying idiot.

No Joker.

No more pent houses; the real Wayne Manor and Batcave should be done by now.

No Johnny Depp Riddler, Angelina Jolie Catwoman/Talia/romantic interest, or Philip Seymore Hoffman Penguin.

It's been a while since I watched either movie, so I might feel differently if I saw them again. But I think a lot of it had to do with me having looked forward to TDK for so long that when I finally saw it and had something like that take me out of the moment that it ticked me off big time. "See you next fall" was a nice touch as well. :o And is it just me, or was Commissioner Loeb talking to Gordon like he was a rookie when Gordon went to warn him about the threat on his life?

It's okay. I have it on good authority that Catwoman will be played by Cher, and that she will be a "vamp in her twilight years." :awesome:

Agreed. TDK had its bad moments, and I think this time we can blame them on Nolan and not Goyer, but they were definitely not as many as the BB ones.

You said EVERYTHING! :cwink:
They are very obvious choices for the third movie.
I doubt Nolan would choose the obvious.
Between these 2...will be only one of both...or no one!
I bet it. :yay:

^ Because choosing the Joker is totally not a generic or obvious idea, and Nolan totally didn't pull off that character with any originality or imagination.

:facepalm:

Sorry, saying it's 'obvious' and therefore somehow bad is just a stupid argument. At the end of Begins, they flat out tell you the Joker is coming, and sure enough, they went with him in the sequel! No one is complaining that Joker was 'too obvious'. Why should anyone complain about Catwoman or Riddler for that reason? Take a chill pill, it'll be fine.

No no,you´re absolutely right, The Riddler and Catwoman are not obvious...:whatever:

Nolan already chose an obvious character:Joker(and one not so obvious:Two- Faces)
And do you want more obvious characters?
If the idea is to choose the obvious so put The Riddler,Catwoman and Penguin in the same movie at once.
Good,let´s underestimate Nolan´s intelligence . :facepalm:
