Half these TV shows aren't going to get picked up anyway so I don't see what's to gloat about.
That's why I think some other studio(s) should have access to their properties. WB are not interested in the genre per se, only in making money.WB treats DC just like any other production company they own. There is no respect for the DC brand and all that represents. I remember a few years back the CEO of DC announced a big re-org in response to the rise in popularity of superhero movies. What did we get out of that? Batman AGAIN and a slew of other projects that were mismanaged or disappeared. It is going to be impossible for DC to grow under the thumb of WB. So DC can put all the projects they want in development... unless WB thinks they will make bank, they will never see the light of day.

I know, right? It was pushed back so it doesn't have to compete with The Hobbit, it may get pushed back further now Thor 2 is gone, in fact, The Hobbit may go to June 2013 and Man of Steel could get bumped back up to Dec 2012. It's all up in the air right now.
No, some projects are closer to the heart than others. I believe it is so.That's every studio.

Ironically, they're making prequels and sequels to Cars and Monsters Inc, but not for the one franchise that a sequel would be most logical for, and that they left on a sequel-bait ending anyways.![]()
Yeah, Incredibles is Brad Birds' baby and there's no way in hell Pixar would do a sequel without him. Still, I don't know if it's even required, to me the story really doesn't call for continuation.
